Beyoncé Knowles is reportedly pregnant with a baby that she and husband Jay-Z are hoping will save their crumbling marriage.
For months, Beyoncé and Jay-Z have been inundated with divorce rumors as multiple outlets have run stories about the rapper’s reported infidelity. Sources said the tension between the couple grew so great that they began living apart during their “On The Run” summer tour, even staying in different hotel rooms.
But a new report from OK! Magazine claims that not only is the couple staying together, but that Beyoncé Knowles is pregnant with baby No. 2.
“For the last month, Jay has been fiercely protective of her, just like he was when she was expecting Blue Ivy,” the source told the magazine . “He’s been doing everything he can to ensure that Bey is in a stress-free bubble. He’s informed their entire entourage that they need to use relaxed voices, mellow lighting and listen to only soft music, and he’s said that all of the food Beyoncé eats should be organic.”
Sources close to Beyoncé and Jay-Z had been already refuting the reports that the couple was headed for divorce. Beyoncé’s father, Mathew Knowles, was asked about the rumors during a visit with Roula & Ryan on 104.1 KRBE in Houston and said the reports were nothing more than a gimmick to get attention for the summer tour.
“I know, because we’ve done this,” Matthew Knowles said. “From experience, there’s a tour going on. So you sometimes have to ignite that tour. It’s called a Jedi mind trick. The Jedi mind trick fools you a lot.”
Matthew also noted that the infamous elevator fight between Solange Knowles and Jay-Z had the same effect.
“All I know is the Jedi mind trick ,” he said. “Everyone’s talking about it. Ticket sales went up. Solange’s album sales went up 200 perent.”
Jay-Z and Beyoncé appeared to indirectly fight the rumors last weekend at the MTV Video Music Awards. When Beyoncé went on stage to receive the Video Vanguard Award, her husband surprised her with their daughter Blue Ivy in tow.
“I love ya’ll so much,” Beyoncé said, looking at Jay and Blue. “Blue, Blue I love you. My beloved.”
Neither Beyoncé nor Jay-Z have commented on the rumors that Beyoncé is pregnant.
