Heidi Montag Talks About New Restaurant Reality Show

Heidi Montag isn’t getting into trouble on her new reality show as she has in the past and probably for good reason Famous Food is about the cutthroat business of running a restaurant, not sunbathing and drinking with friends like her last TV appearances.

Premiering July 10 on VH1, Montag competes against various other celebrities to open a successful restaurant in L.A. Among those competing are ‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ star Danielle Staub, ‘Bachelor’ Jake Pavelka and former (we think) call girl Ashley Dupre

Speaking to MTV News Montag said of her time on the show:

“I really want to stay away from all of the drama,” while adding, “And I just try to be like, ‘OK, let’s open a restaurant.’ “

Heidi does have a bit of experience over her fellow competitors, her parents were in the business when living in Colorado and she said of that experience:

“I grew up in the restaurant industry; my parents had a restaurant since I was 2 years old,” while adding, “There was nothing easy about ‘Famous Food.’ Really it was very difficult.”
