Samsung Galaxy P1000 Firmware Points To 1GHz Hummingbird Core

The Samsung Galaxy Tablet P1000 firmware has been leaked and according to Engadget the software appears to be a very much anticipated upgrade to Google Android 2.2 with some other nicely placed options.

The units other major spec? a 1.0GHz S5PC110 processor that matches the likes of the Galaxy S, although if this rumor is true, it will be slower than other proposed options for the tablet.

It’s also being reported that the 7-inch tablet will also offer 800 x 480 pixels of resolution, while the unit will also feature a 3.2 megapixel camera and a front-facing option for video conferencing.

Throw in a Swype keyboard, flash, WiFi and GPS and you have a nice unit, that is if those rumored specs pan out, which for the sake of Samsung and their users I hope it does.
