President Obama Called War Criminal In Irish Parliament

President Obama is a “war criminal” and the “hypocrite of the century,” an Irish politician claimed in a fiery speech before the country’s Parliament.

Irish politician Clare Daly addressed Parliament after the conclusion of the G8 summit in Northern Ireland, ripping Irish Prime Minister (Taoiseach) Enda Kenny for embracing Obama, who she said was violating US policy by arming rebels in Syria.

“Is this person going for the hypocrite of the century award?” Daly asked of Obama. “Because we have to call things by their right names, and the reality is that by any serious examination, this man is a war criminal.”

“This is the man who has facilitated a 200 percent increase in the use of drones, which have killed thousands of people including hundreds of children,” she added.

During a speech in Belfast, Obama praised Northern Ireland for its peace process with Ireland, calling it a model for all other conflicts.

“We need you to get this right,” he said. “You set an example for those who seek a peace of their own, people gripped in conflict. They know something better is out there. To put aside the violence.”

But Clare Daly pointed out that Obama’s actions do not match his words.

There isn’t much peace in Iraq, Afghanistan, or Pakistan, and certainly not in Syria, she said. Other leaders from Northern Ireland have also opposed arming Syrian rebels.

Her charges that President Obama is a war criminal are not too far from global opinion. The man who once won a Nobel Peace Prize saw his global approval ratings sink as a growing number of people across the globe became critical of his and the nation’s foreign policy approach.

Obama has also come under increasing criticism for domestic policies. After a secret program by the NSA to intercept phone calls and other communications from American citizens came to light, noted MIT linguistics professor and left-wing political activist Noam Chomsky accused Obama of running a terrorist organization.
