LittleBigPlanet 2 was inadvertently revealed the other day by a magazine, and now Sony has made it official, announcing the game with a gorgeous trailer for the level-building sequel.
And what a sequel it’s going to be. LBP 2 is building on its predecessor with digital puppetry, user-composed music, “intelligent design,” and the chance to link the levels you create to make whole games. Rawk. Niftily, the game also features intelligent characters named Sackbots, which users can ‘program’ with behaviors, allowing the introduction of enemies as well as NPC allies.
Oh, and developer Media Molecule isn’t forgetting those who missed the first game (WHY?) – LittleBigPlanet 2 owners will have full access to the 2 million+ levels that were created in the first title, and apparently they look “better than ever.”
