Xbox 360 USB Mass Storage Support Now Live

April 6th is an important day for hardcore Xbox 360 users, today marks official support for USB Mass Storage support, a new offering that can handle up to 16GB sticks that are specially formatted for Xbox 360 use.

Users can plug in 32GB sticks, however only the first 16GB will be recognized by the gaming console, while the remaining 16GB can be used in the users computer just like their regular USB sticks. The system also allows two sticks to be plugged in at one time, making swapping of information among users a simple process.

Currently any stick will work, however an official Microsoft branded series will be arriving next month for $70 per 16GB stick. For that price you’ll at least get SanDisk quality as they will be handling the manufacturing process for Microsoft.
