It came from Ebay: 22-year-old Nintendo cereal selling for $207

Nintendo’s foray into breakfast cereals wasn’t quite as successful as, say, its effort at game consoles.

But at least the company gave it a shot. Back in the 1980s, the Japanese videogame giant attempted to build on the success of its relatively new Mario and Zelda franchises with “Nintendo Cereal System”, a box of two different cereals with a Mario and Zelda theme respectively.

I never tasted this stuff back in the day, and as Nintendo Ralston Foods stopped making Nintendo Cereal System in the late-1980s, I probably never will. But if I am desperate to poison myself with an original box of outdated Nintendo cereal, this sealed box just popped up on Ebay – where it’s already going for $207.

While eating the contents of this box is not recommended, watching the Nintendo Cereal System advert below is highly recommended:

And I would have NEVER guessed your hair color was blonde. I was so sure it had to be black. Oh well it was cool to find out more about you!I used to have one of those Mario lunch boxes. Milk always tasted like crap after a few hours in that thermos which never kept anything cold or hot. Funny stuff as usual Jimmy.
