Vivitek D7180HD Short-Throw Projector Puts Big Video In A Small Space

The Vivitek D7180HD is the perfect projector if you are short on space (depth) but still need to blow up a presentation to fit a large sized surface. I stopped by the Vivitek booth at CES 2013, and, after a quick tour of the short-throw projector, I was hooked.

The Vivitek short-throw projector lives up to its name, delivering high-definition at 1080P with a fairly bright 3400 ANSI lumens.

Also included with the projector are DLP® and BrilliantColor™ technologies for detailed image quality, which helps deliver a clear picture at 87 inches to 97 inches depending on the distance from the screen.

The Vivitek D7180HD also features a 6 segment wheel for color reproduction and high-efficiency lamps that last up to 4000 hours.

Vivitek has also made the short-throw projector network ready, so it can be easily added to a company’s setup via RJ45.

Also included is a small speaker that pushes out audio at 10W.

Take a look at the photo gallery below, and you can see exactly how close to the wall the short range projector sat. Notice that Vivitek set up the short-throw device with lamps on the floor and several on the ceiling .

The Vivitek D7180HD comes with a three-year parts and labor warranty, and the company also sells a line of accessories for the short-throw projector via the Vivitek website.
