Blake Shelton Reveals What It Is Really Like To Date Gwen Stefani

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have battled breakup rumors over the past few months – but it sounds like their relationship is doing better. The Hollywood Gossip reported that the country crooner recently opened up about his two-year romance with the No Doubt alum and admitted that they are still rock solid.

“We’re just content and happy, and it’s just an incredible feeling. She’s my best friend.”

According to Today, Shelton dished on his relationship during an interview with Hoda Kotb in Nashville this week. The two sat down on his tour bus and it didn’t take long before Kotb asked him about Stefani and where their relationship stands. After hearing Shelton’s response, Kotb said she believes he was telling the truth.

“You know what happened? Your eyes went really soft when you said it… because it’s real,” she told him.

Later, Kotb and Shelton went to a local bar in the city and performed some karaoke with each other. The two sang Shelton’s hit song, “Boys ‘Round Here,” and seemed to have a genuinely good time.

The news comes as a relief to many fans following the months of speculation that Blake’s romance with Stefani was on the verge of disaster. While the two flirted constantly on The Voice last season, rumors hinted that things were different behind the scenes. Fortunately, it looks like their relationship is still going strong. Whether or not this means they are ready to take things to the next level is yet to be seen.

With the breakup rumors behind them, the Daily Mail reported that Shelton and Stefani are recording music together once again. The couple was just spotted arriving outside a recording studio in Los Angeles. This marks the second time the two have worked in the studio together. Last year, they produced the song “Go Ahead and Break My Heart,” which they sang live on The Voice.

Blake Shelton wore his usual casual ensemble for the recording session while Stefani rocked a jacket and black shirt with white sneakers. Shelton was asked about collaborating with Stefani last month and said, “Man, I hope so!” Based on the recent sighting, it looks like Shelton got his wish and we can only hope they debut the song in the near future.

Meanwhile, Refinery 29 sat down with Danilo Dixon, the man behind Stefani’s unique style, and talked about Stefani’s different looks over the years. Along with dishing on some styling tips, Dixon revealed that he works once a week with the No Doubt alum to keep her blond locks in check.

“We color her hair every Monday, before we film The Voice. Gwen’s an Italian girl with wavy brown hair — if you look at the video for Cool, we did her in her natural shade, maybe a little darker — so I developed a high lift formula for her. I learned that I could get to a place of achieving the blond that I want, and the quality of hair that we need and want, by using a new product, as opposed to just bleach,” he explained.

Dixon added that a lot goes into crafting the perfect look for Stefani. Dixon likes to know what Stefani’s wearing, what her responsibilities are for the night, and what kind of event she’ll be attending before he decides on her look.

“It’s about you wearing it, not it wearing you, even though it can be completely over the top,” he stated. “I have an extraordinary Barbie doll and she happens to be a good friend, human being, and entertainer – and she looks good.”

Shelton and Stefani have not commented on their new song together.
