White House Flashing Lights Video: Strange Red Strobe Light Flashes Bring Ambulance, Alzheimer’s Therapy Buzz

According to Twitter’s search engine, mysterious lights seemingly emanating from the White House have caused a big stir online. Terms such as “White House light” and “White House strobe” and “White House flash” are surging with attention. Normally, the White House makes news when it bathes the famous building in a variety of colors to represent different occasions. As seen in the above photo from Monday, May 15, the White House had blue lights reflected on it to honor slain police officers. However, recent flashes of strange red lights seen through the White House have gained more attention for the most famous house in the U.S.

The Gizmodo article titled “Mystery of the Flickering Red Lights in the White House Grips the Internet” has gotten more than 50,000 views in about three hours, with the publication noting all the theories of what the mysterious flashing red lights appearing to come out of the White House could be. As seen in the below video, titled “Strange Red Strobe Lights Appear To Flash From Inside The White House,” red flashing strobe lights appear to flash in one or two rooms of the White House, on the right side of the video. The red flashing strobe lights can be seen via two windows of the White House.

As soon as the video went viral, with that video gaining more than 160,000 views thus far, the guesses as to what the flashing red lights could be also gained attention. Whereas some people on social media are joking that the flashing red lights could be First Lady Melania Trump signaling for help, others are assigning more sinister or practical guesses as to what the flashing red lights appearing to come out of the White House might be.

According to Sean Spicer, the red lights seen in the White House were merely an ambulance’s red lights in Lafayette Park that were reflected in the White House’s windows, as reported by the Hill. However, the Internet isn’t buying that explanation of the weird red lights in the White House.

According to the New York Post, video of the strange flashing red lights was captured at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 28. The red lights kept flashing for about 20 minutes. Before Spicer’s ambulance explanation, and in the wake of the disbelieving public not buying Spicer’s explanation of the red lights, social media users have guessed that the red lights coming from the White House represent anything from secret communications with Russia to Trump’s tanning bed going haywire. Others have theorized that the red lights could have been President Trump getting light therapy for ailments dealing with the mind.

Flashing light therapy for Alzheimer’s, as reported by BBC News, is showing promise as a treatment for Alzheimer’s after experimentation in mice proved hopeful.

Comments about the strange red lights seen in or near the White House can be read below.

“If it were ambulance lights flashing outside the White House, the lights would reflect on the walls. They don’t.”

“Spicer’s story makes sense if the ambulance was in the White House dining room making itself a sandwich. Can I see the visitor logs? No? OK.”

“Unless you mean the ambulance was inside the White House on the second floor. From a physics point of view the light is inside the WH.”

“It also seems odd the local news team watching the White House, trying to figure this out, would have missed an ambulance in front of them.”

“Spicer said the flashing red lights in the White House were a reflection from an ambulance, so all we know is that it wasn’t that.”
