Selena Gomez, The Weeknd Collaboration Featured On Singer’s New Album As Romance Turns Serious

Selena Gomez is almost done recording songs for her forthcoming studio album, and from what’s been gathered, there’ll certainly be a collaboration with The Weeknd, it’s been alleged.

According to Hollywood Life, Selena Gomez has been busy trying to finalize the project because she’s hoping to put the record out before the year’s end.

If that’s the case, Selena Gomez knows that the album has to be turned to her record label in the next couple of weeks to plan the appropriate marketing and promotional plan in support of the potential success they’ll be looking to have with the new music.

What’s interesting is that Max Martin, the producer and songwriter who has worked with Selena, Taylor Swift, and Ariana Grande in the past, recently had his Wikipedia page updated, where he was credited for a song called “In Her Element.”

Martin seems to have produced the song, which is why it was listed on his discography page on Wikipedia. The song is said to feature The Weeknd and also has songwriting credits from Nicki Minaj attached to it, meaning that the female rapper could also be part of the track.

It wouldn’t be shocking to hear that Selena Gomez has teamed up with Nicki — the singer has never made it a secret that she’s a big fan of the “No Frauds” hitmaker, and the collaboration with The Weeknd was a no-brainer for fans, who had already been anticipating the news of their song together.

“Part of the reason Selena is on the road with The Weeknd is to finish up the tracks they have been working on together,” a source reveals, noting that Selena Gomez’s decision to follow her beau on tour is mainly so that she can also finish up the song she’d been recording with him.

Hollywood Life gives off the impression there could be more than one track that Selena Gomez and The Weeknd have collaborated on, which would make sense because it would give the 24-year-old options to choose from when she finalizes the songs for the record.

“Selena hopes at least one of the few songs they have been working on together will be ready for release within the next two months. Expect a sexy, sultry, slow love song from them soon. Selena is super psyched to be back in the studio again. Joining The Weeknd on tour really revved her up to start making new music again and she’s loving being back at work. Reports claim that Selena Gomez is looking to release her new album in the fourth quarter of the year, with a planned tour to follow sometime in 2018.

Right now, her main focus is making sure that the music she’s recording is best to date, not to forget that her collaboration with The Weeknd is what fans have been anticipating to hear, Breathe Heavy affirms.

News of Selena Gomez’s rumored collaboration with The Weeknd and Nicki Minaj comes just weeks after the “Come & Get It” star attended the Met Gala with her beau right by her side in New York City.

It was the first time that Selena Gomez and her boyfriend of six months had attended a red carpet hand-in-hand.

From what’s been gathered, Selena Gomez can’t be happier being with The Weeknd, who she has allegedly claimed is the most lovable and genuine person she has ever met in her life. Selena has even gushed to her parents that she can see herself settling down with the 27-year-old in the future.

For now, however, her main focus will be to finish up her new record.
