Selena Gomez Credits The Weeknd For Better Lifestyle, Why ‘Bad Liar’ Singer Is Happier Than Ever

Selena Gomez couldn’t be happier, and it’s all thanks to The Weeknd.

Selena Gomez, who started seeing the R&B singer in January, has not been able to stop gushing about her boyfriend, whom she claims has had a tremendous impact on her lifestyle and her health.

Two months before Selena Gomez began dating The Weeknd, she had completed an intensive rehab program in Tennessee, having openly admitted that her struggle with Lupus had gotten the best of her in the midst of embarking on a North American tour last summer.

The tour was canceled, and Selena Gomez headed straight to the rehab facility, as revealed by Us Weekly, hoping that upon returning to Los Angeles, she would be able to get her mind right and focus more of her attention on being happy and prioritizing her own needs before others.

Fortunately for her, The Weeknd, who she had already been friends with, grew closer to Selena Gomez and it didn’t take long for the duo to go on their first date together. Now almost half a year later and the couple is still going strong, with reports sharing that Selena Gomez is head over heels in love with her beau.

Sources tell Hollywood Life that the “Bad Liar” singer heavily credits her boyfriend for helping her get into such a positive mindset. She feels beyond confident in everything she does, and having The Weeknd around has helped her understood the true definition of what it means to love someone.

According to the news outlet, this is the first time Selena Gomez truly feels that the relationship she shares with The Weeknd is her most genuine one yet, which seems to be an indirect subliminal diss at Justin Bieber, whom the former Disney Channel star shared a chaotic on-again, off-again romance with.

As far as her relationship with The Weeknd is concerned, the duo both support one another in everything they do — regardless of whether it’s personal or career-related. Selena Gomez is having the time of her life with the man she sees herself having a long future with.

“They’re both so supportive and respectful of each other. Selena says it’s the first really grownup relationship she’s ever had,” an insider explains.

“Her health is awesome, her relationship is flourishing, and her career is skyrocketing. Sometimes Selena has to punch herself to make sure she isn’t dreaming. She’s honestly living her dream life right now, the one that she’s always envisioned for herself, and could not be happier.”

In recent weeks, it’s been rumored that Selena Gomez is just months away from releasing her forthcoming album, having already teased fans with what appears to be the debut single from the record, titled “Bad Liar.”

From what’s been gathered, a collaboration with The Weeknd shouldn’t be ruled out. It seems likely that Selena Gomez and her beau would’ve collaborated on a song together, but whether that’s true or not will be revealed once the tracklist for the new album is revealed in the following weeks.

Though Selena Gomez had previously said she planned on taking a much-needed hiatus from social media and her career plans, being with the “Starboy” hitmaker has given her all the confidence she needs to get back to work. She feels more empowered than ever before, with no signs leading to a potential breakdown.

If anything, she’s showing just how strong she is now that she has focused her attention on nothing more than positive attitude, love, and happiness.

Selena Gomez has yet to reveal an official release date for her forthcoming album. According to reports, an announcement can be expected sometime June.
