Chester Duane Price Arrested Murder Andrea Parsons

Chester Duane Price Arrested In 1993 Kidnap-Murder Case

Martin County, FL — Police have arrested Chester Duane Price, 42, in connection with the 1993 kidnap and murder of Andrea Gail Parsons, 10.

The kidnapping took place 19 years ago in Port Salerno, Florida. Price, a convicted felon, has been charged with first degree murder and kidnapping of a child under the age of 13, reports CBS News.

Price has also implicated Claude Davis in the kidnap and murder of Parsons. Davis is a long-time suspect in the case who has been previously arrested in connection. Detectives allege that the two abducted Andrea Gail Parsons, then disposed of her body together.

Davis was arrested in 1993 and charged with false imprisonment of the 10-year-old girl, but the charge was later dropped for lack of evidence. Andrea Parsons was reported missing on July 11,1993 after she failed to come home. She was left at home with her mother’s boyfriend, while her mother went to work.

When Parsons told him she was bored, he let her leave the house to walk to the store and a friend’s house. Neighbors saw the girl leave her house around 5:45 pm. She was reported missing at 11:06 pm by her mother after she returned from work, notes ABC News.

While Andrea Parsons’ body has never been recovered, a sheriff’s department news release says, “The investigation has concluded that Price abducted and killed Andrea Gail Parsons. Tragically, at this time, her body has not been recovered.”

The sheriff’s department has not given any additional information on how they were able to track down and link Chester Duane Price to the kidnapping and murder. Martin County Sheriff Robert L. Crowder stated of the case:

“The resolve to find Andrea and get answers surrounding the circumstances of her disappearance has never wavered as detectives and others assigned have dedicated their careers to piecing this puzzle together.”

While Charles Duane Price’s arrest for the murder of Andrea Gail Parsons will bring her family some relief, they likely still have questions, since her body has never been found.
