Wisconsin Mall Shooting: Three Dead, Gunman’s Body Reportedly Found At Scene

Wisconsin Mall Shooting Kills Three, Gunman Reportedly Dead

Brookfield, WI — A gunman opened fire in a hair salon near the Brookfield Square Mall killing three people and injuring four more on Sunday.

Brookfield Police Chief Daniel Tushaus announced that an improvised explosive device has also been discovered either in or near the salon, which is directly across the street from the mall, reports NBC News.

Tuchaus added that the device is currently hampering their ability to search the scene. The suspect, Radcliffe Franklin Haughton, 45, is still at large. Because of this, the Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital in Milwaukee, where the victims were taken, is on lockdown.

The shooting began at 11:09 am CDT at the Azana Salon and Spa. Police closed the Brookfield Square Mall briefly so that SWAT teams could search the premises for Haughton.

Radcliffe Franklin Haughton is described by police as an African-American male who is six feet, one inch tall, and weighs about 210 pounds. Haughton was last spotted wearing a grey sweater and sporting a white and black backpack.

Police have surrounded the suspect’s home in Brown Deer, Wisconsin, about 15 miles north of Milwaukee. The Chicago Tribune notes that a county dispatcher, Christine Bannister, stated that the suspect, Radcliffe Franklin Haughton, has been found dead.

Online court records show that a temporary restraining order was issued against the shooter on October 8 over a domestic abuse complaint.

A no-contact order was issued during another court hearing on Thursday and Haughton was also ordered to turn his weapons over to the sheriff’s department. Previous court records also show that Haughton was charged with disorderly conduct in January 2011, but the charge was dismissed later after a witness failed to appear in court.

Two workers at the Azana Salon and Spa in Brookfield, Wisconsin stated that Haughton is the estranged husband of one of their co-workers, who works there as  a hairstylist.

Bannister, who is a dispatch supervisor for Waukesha County communications center, would not give additional details on where the gunman’s body was found, though reports say his body was found at the scene.

I think this dirty rotten dog is an immigrant from somewhere. His father seems to have an accent. Some of those people from Nigeria think of nothing but cheating people out of money. I'm in court right now with someone who was buying a house from me on a land contract. I have had nothing but problems with this dog since we signed the contract. He refuses to pay the taxes, pay the water bill or buy insurance to protect the tenants in the house. He seems like one of those pushy Africans that don't respect women at all.
