Rihanna, Chris Brown Back Together? ‘Work’ Singer Still Cares For Ex-Boyfriend After Assault

Chris Brown wants Rihanna back. A new report revealed that the “Loyal” singer is convinced that Rihanna’s relationship with Drake is not going to last, adding that it is only a matter of time before they get back together.

According to Hollywood Life, Chris Brown is convinced that he and Rihanna will wind up together eventually. Even after she threw shade at her ex-boyfriends on Instagram, Brown allegedly still believes that Rihanna will always have a soft spot for him.

“At the end of the day, Chris knows he’s still on Ri’s mind. And he still loves her dearly. Chris doesn’t believe for a second that romance and intimate relationship with Rihanna is over for good. It’s just a matter of time.”

On Saturday, Rihanna called out her ex-boyfriends in a cryptic Instagram post.

“None of my exes are married or in happy relationships so it’s safe to say that I wasn’t da problem lol,” she posted.

After Brown was arrested for assaulting Rihanna in 2009, the two got back together a couple of years later, only to end their relationship again in 2013. In an interview with Vanity Fair, Rihanna opened up about her decision to take him back after the abuse. The “Work” singer explained that she tried her hardest to make their relationship work even if it was causing her pain. She has always thought of Brown as a “misunderstood” soul and hoped he would eventually change for the better.

“I was that girl, that girl who felt that as much pain as this relationship is, maybe some people are built stronger than others. Maybe I’m one of those people built to handle s**t like this. Maybe I’m the person who’s almost the guardian angel to this person, to be there when they’re not strong enough, when they’re not understanding the world, when they just need someone to encourage them in a positive way and say the right thing,” she said.

Rihanna thought that she could change Brown. She shared that she has always been very protective of him, thinking that people are always too quick to judge him. Rihanna, however, soon realized that by consistently defending him and his actions, she was giving him a reason to walk all over her.

“You want the best for them, but if you remind them of their failures, or if you remind them of bad moments in their life, or even if you say I’m willing to put up with something, they think less of you — because they know you don’t deserve what they’re going to give. And if you put up with it, maybe you are agreeing that you [deserve] this, and that’s when I finally had to say, ‘Uh-oh, I was stupid thinking I was built for this.’ Sometimes you just have to walk away.”

While she does not consider Chris Brown a friend, Rihanna admitted that she will “care about him until the day she dies.” When Brown was accused of threatening and pointing a gun at model Baylee Curran, Hollywood Life reported that Rihanna was worried sick of her ex-boyfriend.

“Rihanna’s nervous, scared and panicking over what’s happening at Chris’ house. All she can think about is him and Royalty and hopes that Chris will get out of this situation,” the source previously said.

As previously reported, fans of Rihanna are not too thrilled when they heard that Brown wanted to get back together with the pop star. Several members of the RihannaNavy reportedly encouraged RiRi to stay away from Brown while dating Drake.
