Bill Maher, Ice T Advice For Obama: Lay Off The Weed Before The Next Debate

The left in America is still in a virtual state of mourning over Mitt Romney’s huge and unexpected win in the nationally televised first presidential debate on Wednesday night against President Barack Obama.

As previously reported by The Inquisitr, political observers across the spectrum have finally found some common ground: They agree that Romney dominated the domestic policy-focused event, and, as a result there appears to be movement in the polls in Romney’s direction.

So what explains the lackluster debate performance in Denver by the president who is otherwise known for his communications skills?

National Review Online’s Jim Geraghty wondered “perhaps it’s that he’s less energetic than he was four years ago, perhaps he needs sleep, perhaps he dramatically underestimated Romney as an opponent.”

Both Bill Maher and Ice T have seemingly have come up with a novel — and tongue in cheek — theory about why President Obama fared so poorly against the former Massachusetts governor and businessman: weed.

This is what Maher said on his HBO show Real Time with Bill Maher (see video below): “[Obama] sucked, he looked tired, he had trouble getting his answers out; looks like he took my million and spent it all on weed.”

Bill Maher gave a $1 million donation to the Obama campaign Super PAC (political action committee) in February.

Similarly, the actor, rapper, and reality show star Ice T shared this advice for the POTUS on Twitter:
