Arsenal Gets New Super Striker in Takuma Asano, Is This A Publicity Stunt To Get Jamie Vardy?

Arsenal might have a secret weapon in Japanes rising star Takuma Asano.

Arsenal just agreed to a deal to sign 21-year-old Japanese forward from Sanfrecce Hiroshima. The transfer will be completed after Asano completes medical and regulatory processes.

Arsene Wenger said that there were many teams who wanted to get Asano.

Takuma is a talented young striker and very much one for the future. He has had an impressive start to his career in Japan, and fans look forward to him developing over the next couple of years.

Takuma Asano made his debut for Japan last year. In just a short time, Asano has already played for Japan 5 times and is expected to join the national team in the upcoming Rio Olympics.

It was in 2013 when Asano joined Sanfrecce Hiroshima when he was just 18-years-old. He went on to being a star player for the J League and has made 56 appearances over the course of his tenure. He also scored 11 goals in his short stay in Hiroshima. He was also named J League’s Rookie of the Year.

Is He Arsenal’s Next Striker?

Though young, Takuma Asano has already proven himself in so many ways. That is why Arsenal is keen on keeping him. But, even though the team’s fans have been waiting for their next big spiker pick, not everyone has been happy with the choice.

It has been reported that Asano’s deal might have been too early for him. He has been a great rookie, but he might not be ready for the big leagues just yet. Some Arsenal supporters claim that this is just a publicity stunt. The team is in bad shape and is in need for a central attacker.

Without Olivier Giroud and Danny Welbeck playing at their top, Arsenal is left with a broken strategy. This announcement has been somehow similar to chief negotiator Dick Law’s efforts back in 2011 when they signed Costa Rican teenager Joel Campbell on the team.

Just like Campbell, Asano may not be easily permitted to qualify for a work permit right away. He may have to spend a couple of seasons on the loan. Since there are a lot of procedures he would need to undergo to, Asano’s big play may not be seen anytime soon.

This could also be Arsenal’s way to persuade Jamie Vardy, Leicester striker. Arsenal reportedly made a £20 million offer to Vardy, but the player seemed to be pretty sturdy when it comes to his decision to stay with the team.

This could also be Arsenal’s way to persuade Jamie Vardy, Leicester striker. Arsenal reportedly made a £20 million offer to Vardy, but the player seemed to be pretty sturdy when it comes to his decision to stay with the team.

“I think he will stay. I think, so let’s see. We need to build the team. We keep continuing to believe that we can do something special in the Premier League and the Champions League. The Champions League is going to be amazing for Leicester, so let’s see. Leicester is the underdog and we can still be the underdog.”

Leicester’s seemingly miraculous win has been historic for the team since this is their 5,000 to 1 triumph. Because of their win, massive names in the League are trying to recruit their best players, and this includes their key striker Jamie Vardy.

For now, the Leicester family, as Drivaddhanaprabha calls it, wanted people to be inspired by their win.

“I think everyone in Leicester is still pinching themselves. Even the players and staff. Now the season is finished and we have to move on.”

As for Arsenal, they would just have to wait if Vardy is willing to move on to their team.
