‘Game of Thrones’ Star Emilia Clarke Flirts With Nick Jonas, Slams ‘Me Before You’ Critics

Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke has recently opened up about the qualities she is looking for in an ideal boyfriend. The actress also fired back against critics of the new romantic drama, Me Before You.

In an interview with Glamour,Emilia Clarke revealed that she received dating advice from Game of Thrones fans in the past, something that she did not appreciate. Turns out, a few fans of the hit HBO series could not believe that she dated Seth MacFarlane.

“You have strangers giving you love life advice like, ‘I’m a big fan of the show, and I’m not sure what you’re doing with that guy,’ which I didn’t react well to. That happened in New York when Seth [MacFarlane] and I were together. This guy started to give me advice: ‘Can I get a selfie? And by the way…’ Unh-unh, bro,” she recounted.

More than a guy’s physical appearance, Clarke said that intelligence is far more important to her. She explained she has always been attracted to “super smart” men, who can make her laugh. While having a six-pack does not hurt, the actress revealed that she actually find guys with “dad bods” appealing. The Game of Thrones star also joked about wanting to date Leonardo DiCaprio.

“Ain’t nobody proposing [but] if Leonardo DiCaprio decides to stop dating supermodels…”

A singer/actor who clearly will not hesitate to date Emilia Clarke given the chance is Nick Jonas. Radio 1 presenter Nick “Grimmy” Grimshaw, revealed on his show last Thursday that the singer has always been a huge Game of Thrones fan. Grimmy added that Nick only agreed to guest on Radio 1 to see the “Mother of Dragons.”

While Emilia said that she was “beyond flattered,” Nick cannot help but feel embarrassed with the introduction. He said that Grimmy made him look uncool. Nick also added that this is not the first time he made a fool of himself in front of the Game of Thrones star.

“I’ve actually already met Emilia and I said just that, at the Oscars after-party. But it wasn’t like, ‘I’m a fan of the show.’ Actually that was a part of it, but I was like, ‘I’m also a fan of your Instagram.’ Which I don’t know if is a weird thing to say. I immediately walked away and was like, ‘That sounded stupid.'”

Seeing how a big of a GOT fan he was, Grimmy and Emilia thought it would be fun to have him on the HBO series. While Nick felt that he may not be a good fit for the show, the actress promised that she will run the idea past Game of Thrones series creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss.

“True story: I’m going to e-mail them now. I will. ‘Listen: He’s open to dyeing his hair Targaryen blond.’ Right?… You can ride a dragon, honey!”

In other news, Emilia Clarke also defended her new movie, Me Before You, from critics. Speaking to Evening Standard, she argued that the film was not promoting, but rather raising awareness around the issue to an individual’s right to die. Clarke explained that they took the whole thing seriously, adding that it came to a point where it was almost the sole topic of conversation.

“We had a number of experts on set with us all the time, ensuring that we were doing everything we could to be accurate for a movie. And that’s the hardest thing to do – unless it’s a documentary you’re never going to be as true to life as you would be if you were to take a camera and follow someone’s life.”
