Are Selena Gomez And Justin Bieber Back Together? Rumors Swirl After Hailey Baldwin Split

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber may have split over two years ago, but when it comes to their future, they could be headed for a reconciliation. In fact, some reports claim the former couple is already back together.

While Selena Gomez has only been spotted publicly with Bieber a couple of times in recent months, most recently during his Purpose Tour in Los Angeles, a new report claims they are constantly in touch — even when their careers keep their schedules full.

On April 25, Movie News Guide revealed Selena Gomez and Bieber share a great bond and keep in contact via text when they are busy.

At the end of last year, Bieber was tied to model Hailey Baldwin and reality star Kourtney Kardashian, mother to Mason, 6; Penelope, 3; and Reign, 1, but around the same time, he and Selena Gomez were spotted walking down the street in Beverly Hills. Still, a romance wasn’t believed to have been happening at the time and a short while later, Bieber seemingly confirmed his romance with Baldwin during a trip to Anguilla with his family.

Although Bieber and Baldwin appeared to be engaged in a committed relationship just months ago, it quickly came to an end once they arrived back in Los Angeles, and by February, Bieber was once again linked to Kardashian. Then, in March, Bieber gave Selena Gomez a shout-out on Instagram when he shared a throwback photo of them kissing along with the caption, “Feels.”

In response to the photo, Selena Gomez wrote a comment which read, “Perfect,” and days later, she was spotted in the audience at Bieber’s Los Angeles tour stop. However, while rumors immediately began swirling regarding their allegedly planned reunion, Bieber reportedly pulled out of his plans to woo his former love after his show.

“Justin wanted to rent out the Staples Center after his concert to do a repeat date night screening of Titanic for [Selena Gomez] because he is trying to get back with her,” an insider told E! News at the end of March. But after things didn’t go as planned, Bieber ended up “calling it off.”

“I don’t know why he didn’t go through with it, and I also don’t know if he ever even told [Selena Gomez] about his plan, but I do know he is really obviously trying to date her again,” the source said. “He wanted to do something big and extravagant for her like this and had been making arrangements for the movie date before his concert even started.”

According to a second insider, Bieber’s mood was off the entire day leading up to what was supposed to be a big night for the former couple.

“He cancelled his meet and greet that fans paid $2000 for,” the source revealed. “During his concert between songs, he was alluding to the fact that he wasn’t happy to be there. At one point during the concert he was just lying on the stage not singing, just letting the track run.”

Bieber even ended his concert 20 minutes before it was scheduled to be over so that he could leave early with Selena Gomez. Meanwhile, Skrillex was forced to close the show by himself.

As for what happened, it’s hard to say, but the source suspected Bieber and Selena Gomez may have gotten into an argument before his surprise screening was supposed to take place.

“The speculation is that an argument had taken place between the two before the show since he cancelled the date plans,” said the source. “Something had shifted Bieber’s mood completely.”
