Lady Gaga Wedding: Is She Ready To Marry Fiancé Taylor Kinney?

Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney have been engaged for over a year, but so far, they haven’t yet announced a wedding date. Although Kinney did recently say, via Popsugar, that he and Lady Gaga will wed sometime this year, it remains unknown exactly when and where he and his leading lady will tie the knot.

On February 18, the Korea Portal reported news of a possible destination wedding for the engaged pair, claiming Lady Gaga may be headed for a wedding in Italy.

Ever since Lady Gaga announced her engagement on Instagram, along with the first photo of her stunning, heart-shaped diamond ring, designers have been waiting in the wings, preparing to offer Lady Gaga the wedding dress of her dreams. However, with no firm wedding date locked down, and no wedding venue selected, it may be a while before fittings begin.

Meanwhile, a second report went into greater detail regarding Lady Gaga’s possible European destination wedding.

“[Lady Gaga] wants to celebrate her heritage, so they’re looking at places in the Italian countryside. She wants a big Italian wedding,” a source close to the singer told Page Six at the end of last month.

As they prepare to walk down the aisle, Lady Gaga and Kinney are said to be “enjoying their engagement” as they juggle their equally busy schedules, which include Lady Gaga’s musical performances and Kinney’s filming schedule for Chicago Fire.

“They have to figure out the right time to do it. They’re not fully planning yet,” said the insider.

Despite their slow-moving wedding plans, designers including Reem Acra, Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel, Diane von Furstenberg, Monique Lhuillier, and Mara Hoffman, have all offered up suggestions for Lady Gaga’s gown, and Lady Gaga’s friend, Donatella Versace, is expected to add herself into the mix, as well. Still, the Page Six source claimed Lady Gaga wouldn’t be making any final decisions in regards to her wedding attire until she and Kinney selected a location for their nuptials.

“The venue is going to inspire the dress, so she has to lock that in first. It’ll make her figure out what the dress will be and who will make it,” the source explained.

Lady Gaga and Kinney on the set of her music video for “Yoü and I” in 2011, and started dating a short time after.

“[Lady Gaga]’s more grounded [since meeting him]. She’s more at peace,” Page Six‘s source revealed.

During an interview with U.K.’s The Times just months before her engagement, via Celebuzz, Lady Gaga gushed over her love for Kinney, and revealed how she knew he was the one.

“He’s the first man that I have dated that, when I sing onstage, he cries,” Lady Gaga said. “That means more to me than anything… He’s supportive of everything I do. He loves me from the inside out, and he is completely blind to the way that I dress, my creative process as it is – he knows me as the Italian-American girl my mother and father gave birth to.”

Also during the interview, Lady Gaga revealed her plans to start a family with her future husband.

“I want to have tons of kids, actually…I think at least three,” Lady Gaga explained. “I really want to have a family and I really want to nurture my children and inspire [them]. I want to live a family life. I grew up with a very strong family and I just cannot imagine not having a normal nuclear family.”
