Drake Teasing ‘Views From The 6’ Release On Twitter? Rapper Changes Bio To Promote New Album

Drake may be keeping quiet regarding rumors that he’s planning on releasing his highly anticipated Views From The 6 album today, but it looks like Drake is only aiming to fuel the speculation after changing his Twitter bio to reflect the impending release of his fourth studio album.

Just days after Drake and producer Noah “40” Shebib took to Instagram to seemingly hint that Views is ready for release, Drake reportedly took to Twitter on Friday evening to quietly change his Twitter bio to reflect the impending release of his new album.

“I honestly think #vft6 comes out today. The boy drake changed his Twitter bio from ‘Views’ to ‘Views From The 6’ 2 hours ago,” one fan writes while others allege that Drake generally changes his Twitter bio just before releasing a new album.

While Drake has yet to comment on the January 16 release date speculation for Views, rumors continue to suggest that Drake will debut the album during a new episode of OVO Sound Radio later this evening.

Brand New Hip Hop alleges that Drake is predicted to drop Views From The 6 during Episode 13 of OVO Sound Radio, which is set to premiere beginning at 6pm EST on Apple Music.

The site further explains the significance of a January 16 release for Drake’s new album, noting that the date corresponds to the (416) area code of Drake’s native Toronto.

Given that Views will be Drake’s fourth official studio album release and that it is rumored to be released on the 16th of January, the numbers represent the “4” and “16” of Toronto’s area code.

The news comes just days after Drake seemingly hinted that he has finished recording the long-awaited album by sharing a photo of himself sitting in the recording studio to Instagram where fans allege that Drake may have been listening to the final version of Views From The 6 ahead of its release.

Similarly, Noah “40” Shebib took to Instagram last week to share a photo of a computer folder appropriately titled “VIEWS,” leading fans to interpret the nondescript pic as a hint that the album has been finished.

In addition, fans have also pointed out that Drake seemingly confirmed a January release for Views in a track titled “30 For 30 Freestyle” from his If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late mixtape in which he raps, “I thought you wanted yours like I want mine / I guess you just making moves on your own time / But just know it’ll be January in no time.”

While some fans remain skeptical of a January 16 release date after previous rumors of a January 6 drop for Views proved to be false, Drake recently confirmed that his new album would be coming “very soon” during his New Year’s Eve celebration in Miami earlier this month.

During his performance, a fan captured a video of Drake thanking the crowd for coming to his New Year’s Eve bash before promising that Views From The 6 would be “coming soon” after previously confirming that he would be spending the remainder of 2015 to finish the record.

In addition, some fans believe that Drake has been teasing a January 16 release for his album for weeks after the rapper shared several photos from his NYE performance while captioning each shot with a simple “16.” While some argue that Drake was merely giving a nod to 2016 upon ringing in the New Year, other fans speculate that the rapper has been dropping hints about the album’s impending release for several weeks.

Do you think Drake will release Views From The 6 during OVO Sound Radio’s new episode tonight?

UPDATE 1/16 7:28 PM EST: OVO Sound Radio’s previously scheduled 6 PM broadcast via Beats 1 on Apple Music was pushed back to 7 PM, sparking rumors that Drake may be preparing to answer Meek Mill’s recently dropped EP 4/4 mixtape that features a freestyle rap referencing Drake and Future’s “I’m The Plug.”

While there’s currently no word from Drake regarding the delay, OVO Sound Radio tweeted this message out in response to the backlash surrounding the delay:
