Miranda Lambert And Anderson East Take Vacation Cues From Gwen Stefani And Gavin Rossdale, Blake Shelton Is A Pig

Miranda Lambert and her new Southern soul singer boyfriend, Anderson East, spent New Year’s Eve together at the same type of scenic locale that Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale used to jet off to around this time of year.

Miranda Lambert is reportedly “doing really, really well” now that she has her own rebound romance going on with Anderson East. It’s probably been pretty tough for the “Little Red Wagon” singer to watch her ex-husband, Blake Shelton, flaunt his romance with Gwen Stefani for weeks, but now Miranda can finally fire back at their PDA with her own cute and cuddly photos.

“The snuggle is real,” Miranda Lambert cleverly captioned the Instagram photo above.

Miranda Lambert shared the picture on January 1, and People is reporting that she and Anderson Easton celebrated the start of 2016 together at a “ski destination.” As you can see, 32-year-old Miranda Lambert and 27-year-old Anderson East are all bundled up in cozy caps and are seemingly using a combination of body heat and Miranda’s plaid coat to stay warm. Perhaps Miranda’s snuggly Instagram snap was taken at the ski lodge they were staying at.

Are Miranda Lambert and Gwen Stefani Both Ski Bunnies?

According to E! News, Miranda Lambert’s favorite ski resort is Montage Deer Valley in Park City, Utah. In addition to hitting the slopes, guests can enjoy hiking down scenic trails and going on “horseback riding adventures.” Deer Valley seems like the perfect place for a couple of country lovebirds to savor their blossoming romance.

Park City Magazine reports that Miranda Lambert performed at the Deer Valley Celebrity Skifest in 2013, so she has something in common with Gwen Stefani’s ex – according to Popsugar, Gavin Rossdale rocked the Skifest in 2008. Gavin was joined by Gwen and their sons, Zuma and Kingston, at the event.

Gwen Stefani was photographed teaching Kingston how to ski at Deer Valley, and it seems as though he eventually became a big fan of the snow sport. According to the Daily Mail, Gwen Stefani, Gavin Rossdale, and the kids spent their last New Year’s Eve together as a family skiing at the Mammoth Mountain Resort in Mammoth Lakes, California. The family also spent the final days of 2013 at the ski resort.

So Miranda Lambert and Gwen Stefani can add New Year’s Eve ski trips to the ever-growing list of things that they have in common. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Gwen and Miranda also share an admiration of Marilyn Monroe, a love of designing clothes, an ability to snag younger men, and possibly an appreciation of vintage fur coats. Gwen Stefani has said that she doesn’t wear fur, but the “Used to Love You” singer recently liked Miranda Lambert’s tweet about the fur coat that her grandmother gave her for Christmas. According to Miranda, the floor-length fur was a family heirloom.

Miranda Lambert and Gwen Stefani’s surprising social media relationship started when Miranda began following Gwen on Twitter, and it’s possible that Miranda’s new relationship with Anderson East inspired this move – now that the country singer has a new love in her life, perhaps she wants everyone to know that she’s okay with Blake Shelton moving on with Gwen Stefani.

A source told People that Miranda is “happy,” and it sounds like she’s ready for a fresh start in 2016.

“She’s looking forward to the new year,” the source revealed.

Miranda and Anderson’s PDA Picture Could Be a Sign That Things Are Serious

Miranda Lambert met the younger man who she’s starting the New Year with while working on the upcoming Southern Family compilation album. A source told E! News that she’s actually been dating Anderson East for “the last few months,” but, unlike Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton, Miranda and Anderson decided to keep their romance under wraps for awhile before displaying any PDA.

“Anderson is a complete gentleman! Miranda gets butterflies with Anderson,” the insider revealed. “He is a wonderful guy with an amazing personality. Miranda loves his sense of humor and his love for music. They have many things in common.”

Blake Shelton: Boss Hog?

Miranda Lambert may be too in love to feel any bitterness toward her ex right now, but if she ever does feel like mouthing off about Blake Shelton, now she can call her ex a “pig” while knowing that there’s some truth to the label. According to Rolling Stone, Blake is going to voice a hillbilly hog named Earl in the upcoming animated movie based on the popular Angry Birds game. Blake Shelton already has a pronounced Southern accent, but he had to lay it on even heavier for the movie (apparently his cowboy pig is supposed to sound like a Deliverance character).

“I felt like I was doing a voice-over for Dukes of Hazzard,” Blake told Entertainment Weekly.

Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton both experienced a low point in their lives when they decided to get a divorce last year, but it looks like the split halves of the country power couple are both starting 2016 on a high note with their new loves and fun new projects.
