The Simms Family Quits? Will Leah Messer Quit Or Be Fired From ‘Teen Mom 2’ Ahead Of Season 7?

The Simms family, including Corey and his pregnant wife, Miranda, will reportedly move on from Teen Mom 2 following its latest season, but what about Corey’s ex-wife, Leah Messer? While the Simms family has reportedly quit the show, Messer’s return remains up in the air.

According to a September 24 report by the International Business Times, the Simms family was said to be planning to quit the show just months ago, and due to Messer’s latest rant, claiming the show was “scripted” and “set up,” her return to the show is “most questionable.”

Just one day ago, on September 23, The Ashley’s Reality Roundup revealed the series had been renewed for a seventh season, but said rumors of the Simms family’s exit had not yet been confirmed. As for Messer, The Ashley’s Reality Roundup claimed Messer had quit the show late last year after Season 5, but ultimately agreed to sign back on, along with the Simms family.

Although the Simms family has yet to officially announce their exit from Teen Mom 2, their return will be based on whether or not Messer is asked back. While the Simms family may not return either way, they will likely not be invited to appear if Messer is fired for her recent tweets about the series being scripted.

In July, after the Simms family traveled to Los Angeles to film the Season 6 reunion, Life & Style claimed Corey was ready to quit the show, and alleged Jeremy Calvert may follow the Simms family’s lead and leave the series, as well.

“Corey is done with the show. He’s told MTV he will not return for another season. He doesn’t think the money is worth the aggravation anymore… Jeremy also wants out of Teen Mom, but he hasn’t made any formal moves yet.”

The Simms family has faced online backlash due to their claims of Messer’s possible drug use during Season 6, but on Twitter, Corey insisted his allegations aren’t without basis in a rant to fans at the end of last month.

“Idk why I’m tweeting this because I honestly do not care what people think or what they say about me but anyways. There is a reason for everything that Miranda and myself have said or done. We simply want the girls to grow up in a safe and healthy environment. There is a lot of things that has been told to us by very close members of her family that lead us to believe the things being told are very much true. If we didn’t care about the girls or the situation we would obviously not have anything to say or do about it.”

For more of the Simms family, as well as Leah Messer, tune into the Teen Mom 2 Season 6 finale on Thursday, September 24, at 10 p.m. on MTV.
