Apple fires back at Microsoft laptop hunter ads with new Mac ads

Apple has responded to Microsoft’s laptop hunter ad campaign with three new Mac ads that tackle Microsoft’s marketing head on.

In “Elimination” a female laptop buyer looks for a PC with a large screen, faster processor, and a computer that doesn’t crash or have viruses…and naturally ends up buying a Mac. In “PC Choice Chat” Longman’s PC character hosts a call-in radio show where he offers to help people choose a PC is right for them. All the callers are interested in computers that don’t crash and getting great technical support. In “Customer Care” Apple highlights the simplicity of the Apple Genius support system vs attempts to get support for a PC.

The ads are great, but they do highlight one thing: Microsoft’s campaign must have gotten under Apple’s skin, otherwise they wouldn’t be responding to them so directly in these ads.

Here’s the new Mac ads:

If you want something cheap, buy a PC. If you want something that actually works, you have to pay more. Simple.
