No surprises in CEOs using Twitter

ceos-on-twitter

So, Business Week has published their list of CEOs who are all using Twitter and while it is interesting to read many of the little snapshots accompanying the post there’s no surprises in who’s on the list. Out of the almost 50 CEOs on the list only three of them are folks that have no direct ties to the Web or computers in general.

What I was more curious about though were things like their follower/following ration as well as the number of updates that they had. Using the Business Week list I a few sub-lists of my own covering some of those questions.

Thanks for the breakdown. I'm honored to included in the list again this year.

What I found most interesting in your breakdown was the list of the three folks that have no direct ties to the Web or computers in general. This is an interesting thing to note now vs. 6 or 12 months from now; given Twitter's explosive growth. I happened to be an early adopter because I work in tech – learning about new technologies before the mainstream is part of the reason i love my line of work.

With Twitter now becoming as expected as a website, it will be interesting to see how such articles change – maybe they'll become more insightful as to what it all means, digging deeper into the value of Twittering, or any social media tool.

    Kindly,
    Christine Perkett
