Kristen Taekman’s Ashley Madison Scandal: ‘Teen Mom’ Says Josh ‘Better Apologize’

Kristen Taekman’s husband, Josh, was exposed as an Ashley Madison user earlier this week, and on Thursday, a fellow reality star weighed in on the situation. On August 27, Teen Mom OG star Farrah Abraham posted an article about Josh’s statement, telling fans, “He better apologize! What other famous people do you think had accounts?”

Kristen Taekman is currently in Los Angeles, and hasn’t yet addressed the scandal, other than to thank fans for their support. However, her husband, Josh, did issue a statement of apology after he was exposed by the U.K.’s Daily Mail.

Below is Kristen Taekman’s husband’s statement to PEOPLE Magazine:

“I signed up for the site foolishly and ignorantly with a group of friends and I deeply apologize for any embarrassment or pain I have brought to my wife and family. We both look forward to moving past this and getting on with our lives.”

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Kristen Taekman was rumored to have been on the chopping block with Bravo following the seventh season of The Real Housewives of New York City. However, after her Ashley Madison scandal broke, a source told Real Mr. Housewife that producers had changed their mind, and wanted her to rejoin the show for season 8.

“[Kristen Taekman] didn’t have much of a storyline this season, which is why Bravo was seriously considering canning her. However, Bravo loves a good scandal, sad as that may be, especially when it can play out for their cameras. Think of all of the drama this Ashley Madison reveal could bring to the show.”

While Kristen Taekman’s marriage could be in jeopardy due to her husband’s use of Ashley Madison, Bravo producers are allegedly hoping she will expose all the behind-the-scenes drama with her husband for the show.

“Unfortunately, this is bound to be a tough time personally for [Kristen Taekman], but this will up her chances at a [Real Housewives of New York City] return for sure.”

Page Six was first to report on Kristen Taekman’s possible firing, claiming her story line and feud with Bethenny Frankel were enough to have producers considering axing her from the show.

Kristen Taekman and her husband, Josh, have been married for nearly 10 years (the couple wed on October 21, 2005) and share two children.

For more Kristen Taekman, tune into The Real Housewives of New York City season 7 tonight at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
