Adam Levine gave his fans a scare today when he tweeted a photo of himself posing with a bloody eyebrow and lip. Don’t worry though, the blood is fake, as Levine is in Los Angeles shooting the new music video for Maroon 5’s “Payphone.”
The tattooed musician was also seen in full business attire, including glasses, running down the street with an attractive woman. No worries though, girls, the woman is just another actor helping the band out with the video, which also includes a cameo by Whiz Khalifa.
The band performed “Payphone” on “The Voice” this week, a reality TV show that Levine coaches. Levine’s fans were also interested in the video, since Levine is usually extremely well-groomed. Yahoo.com commented that:
“Whether he’s sitting in his spinning chair on “The Voice” or walking on the red carpet, wearing a white T-shirt or something straight off the runway, the 33-year-old Maroon 5 frontman always looks … perfect.”
Adam Levin tweeted, “Shot the video for #payphone today. More tomorrow. This s–t is truly insane. In a great way. Crazy.”
It is clear from the photos of the shoot that he his having fun with the music video. The song, “Payphone,” which is on Maroon 5’s latest album Overexposed, due out June 26, shot to the number one spot on iTunes this week.
In other Adam Levine news, the singer has reportedly landed a role in the TV series “American Horror Story.” Ryan Murphy, the sho’s creator spilled details about the show’s second season during a promotion panel on Wednesday. Murphy revealed that:
“[Levine's] a sexy guy, so he needs to play a sexy guy — but the guy that is different than who you think he would play…I pitched him the part and he listened, slack-jawed, and simply said, ‘I’m in.’ The second season is fun, sexy and baroque. It has a lot of meat to it; it’s a really gritty part. He’s with a girl, and they play characters called The Lovers.”
