Rihanna Disses Karrueche Tran, Defends Chris Brown Amid Dating Rumors: Are Rih And Breezy Back Together?
Rihanna and Chris Brown may have reignited dating rumors at the 2015 BET Awards on Sunday. However, is Rihanna shading Breezy’s ex, Karrueche Tran, after the model dissed Brown on social media? Sources reveal Rihanna is less than amused by Tran’s attempts to publicly bash Chris after their abrupt split earlier this year.
International Business Times reports that according to sources close to Rihanna, the singer feels that Tran is being too hard on Brown, especially since she’s making their problems a public matter by airing them on social media.
“Rihanna doesn’t really know Karrueche all like that and doesn’t walk in her shoes. But from her outside perspective, she feels she goes too hard on him [Brown] and lets the world in on their business on social media. That’s just tacky and childish! Rih thinks Karrueche needs to give that boy a break.”
The news comes on the heels of rumors that suggest Rihanna and Brown are back on good terms after calling it quits in 2013.
Rihanna was seen dancing along to Chris Brown’s BET Awards performance of “Post To Be,” where cameras caught the songstress moving to the music and smiling at the spectacular show.
Sources also reveal that Rihanna and Brown had some private time backstage prior to the awards show where the singer wished her ex good luck on his performance, Hollywood Life reports.
“Rihanna didn’t walk the red carpet, but she did see Chris backstage to watch his rehearsal. It was very brief and no one was allowed back there to see them. She told him to have a good show, watched about a minute or two of the rehearsal and then left.”
The source adds that Rihanna “wanted to tell Chris how proud she is of him. After everything he’s gone through, he’s still pushing forward, making music and the best part is—he’s a proud father.”
The source also dishes that Rihanna loves the fact that Brown has stepped up to be a responsible dad for his 1-year-old daughter, Royalty. However, Brown’s ex, Tran, has different feelings towards the rapper’s behavior as of late.
While Tran previously admitted that she holds no ill feelings towards Brown’s daughter, or his baby mama Nia Guzman, Tran lashed out at Brown on social media earlier this month, telling her former flame to “man up.”
Tran took to Instagram to blast Brown after he requested that she stop speaking about him in interviews, telling the R&B star that he shouldn’t be bitter over the loss of their relationship seeing as he’s the one who caused the drama.
“First off @chrisbrownofficial you just did an interview w Ryan Seacrest in which you spoke about me. My interview w Access Hollywood was not entirely about you..they asked a question and as a mature adult I answered. I’m not gonna shy away from something that I lived through. I’m not speaking on you or bashing you (like I easily could). Don’t be mad at me because our relationship is over due to your lack of loyalty.”
Tran also reminded Brown of his hostile behavior earlier this month, where the duo got into an explosive fight outside of a Los Angeles nightclub after Brown purchased a table right next to Tran and her friends in an attempt to speak to her.
“You know what’s weak?? You forcing yourself into my car..my broken window.blowing up my phone..trying to shower me w gifts..Man the f*** up and change the bs in your life live I’ve told you several times.”
While sources admit they don’t see a reconciliation for Rihanna and Brown in the near future, the duo’s long history of an on-again, off-again romance have fans wondering if it will be Rihanna and Chris Brown who will ultimately end up together.
