Gerald Green Alley-Oop Dunk Brings Down the House in New Jersey [Video]

New Jersey Nets guard Gerald Green set a new bar for dunkers when he exploded near the rim to throw down a nasty alley-oop against the Houston Rockets on Saturday night.

Late in the contest’s third quarter, Green – a former first-round pick – took a slightly under-thrown lob from Nets guard Marshon Brooks and turned it into a highlight of the year, completing one of the dirtiest in-game windmill alley-oops in NBA history.

Although the Nets would eventually fall to the Rockets 112-106, Green – and his super human jumping ability – proved he is still a force to be reckoned with as he led all scorers with 26 points in 23 minutes off the bench.

Although Dunk of the Year is a term I’ve used in the past, is it safe to say that Green’s recent dunk is the best of 2012? Would you agree it ranks in the top alley-oop dunks of all time? Leave your thoughts in the comment section below.
