Janet Jackson X Factor Judge? Singer Doesn’t Deny Rumor During Anderson Cooper Appearance

Pop superstar Janet Jackson might soon be sitting next to Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid on the Fox TV singing competition X Factor, at least that’s the newest rumor floating around the internet after Janet Jackson sat down for an interview with Anderson Cooper.

When Cooper asked Janet about her X-Factor judging spot she responded “Oh my God” while laughing and stumbling over her words.

After she stopped laughing the 45-year-old singer said “No I’m not a judge on The X Factor.” Cooper then responded ”You’re not currently a judge on The X Factor.”

Jackson responded to his last question by noting:

“No, I am not, but that’s all I really think I should say.”

Various rumors have pointed to different new hosts for the show including one rumor that revealed a $500 million five season offer for Beyonce.  Oddly enough Beyonce was rumored because of her relevance in today’s music market, a relevance that has been lost on Janet Jackson for the last decade.

I don’t deny that Jackson is an astronomical name in the pop industry, she just doesn’t resonate with today’s changed music industry which could make the show which searches for new industry talent seem irrelevant.

After hearing Jackson’s response to the rumor all Anderson Cooper could get out was:

“Intriguing, I will say, Intriguing.”
