NASA Denies Claims That UFO Was Orbiting Asteroid 2004 BL86: Releases Video Providing ‘New View’ Of Asteroid

After UFO hunters insisted that the object orbiting the giant asteroid 2004 BL86 was, in fact, a UFO and not a “moon,” NASA has released a new video which provides a “new view of asteroid 2004 BL86 and its small moon.” The video purportedly supports the claim that the object orbiting the asteroid was a “moon” and not a UFO.

The giant asteroid 2004 BL86, about one-third of a mile across, zoomed, at a speed of 35,000 miles per hour, past Earth on January 26, making its closest approach to Earth at about 745,000 miles, three times the distance of Earth to the moon.

After NASA released images showing a body orbiting the asteroid, UFO hunters denied that the images showed a space rock orbiting. They claimed that the image showed a diamond-shaped spacecraft, an alien UFO.

Shown below is the video NASA released on January 26, 2015, which UFO hunters disputed.

Despite many having expressed doubt on NASA’s Facebook page after the first video was released on January 26, NASA still insists that the images captured by its Deep Space Network antenna at Goldstone show a “moon” orbiting asteroid 2004 BL86 and not a UFO.

The new video, posted to NASA’s Facebook page on January 30 (see video below), shows the object spinning as it orbits the giant asteroid — a response to previous arguments that it was not spinning like a real “moon.” The video also shows the curved path of the body — also a response to previous claims that the first video appears to show the body flying straight toward the asteroid and not orbiting in a curved path.

After NASA released the first images, UFOlogist Scott Waring argued that it was clear from the images that the orbiting object was not a natural body or space rock but an artificial satellite, a diamond-shaped craft.

“This asteroid has a UFO flying in orbit around it. We can see from the detailed photo that the craft is diamond shaped and flat.”

But NASA hopes that the new video answers previous objections raised by many viewers on the agency’s Facebook page in response to the first video. NASA had pointed out that many asteroids have their own “moons” orbiting them, and thus, the observation was not unusual or remarkable.

“The 20 individual images used in the movie were generated from data collected at Goldstone on Jan. 26, 2015. They show the primary body is approximately 1,100 feet (325 meters) across and has a small moon approximately 230 feet (70 meters) across.

“In the near-Earth population, about 16% of asteroids that are about 655 feet or larger are a binary (the primary asteroid with a smaller asteroid moon orbiting it) or even triple systems (two moons).”

But Waring had argued that he believed the orbiting object was a UFO because it was not spinning.

“NASA of course goes on to say that this flat object which does not flip over end is a moon. Wrong! Any moon this thin would be tumbling end over end. This object is keeping itself steady; flying like a ship would in space.”

The spinning motion and the curved path of the object are clearer in the new video.

Nigel Watson, UFO expert and author of UFO Investigations Manual, had supported Waring’s conclusions, saying that diamond-shaped UFOs were common and well-known to UFO hunters.

“We already know that the Comet 67P is a huge alien spaceship that has been sending radio signals to NASA for the last 20 years, and that was why the Rosetta spacecraft was sent there to make contact with its tentacled crew. So we shouldn’t be shocked that a UFO has now been discovered orbiting Asteroid 2004 BL86.

“Diamond shaped UFOs like the one orbiting the asteroid are not uncommon on YouTube. They are all sightings of scouting spacecraft that are coming here in vast motherships disguised as comets and asteroids, and are preparing for our downfall and enslavement.”

It remains to be seen whether the new video would convince UFO hunters that the object orbiting the asteroid 2004 BL86 was a “moon” and not a UFO.
