Lindsay Lohan’s Probation Revoked, Taken Away in Handcuffs

Posted: October 19, 2011

lindsay lohan

Lindsay Lohan slapped on a pair of shiny new bracelets as she was led out of Judge Sautner’s courtroom this morning. Sautner ruled that Lohan had violated the terms of her probation. The actress is currently being held on $100,000 bond and a court date has been set for November 2nd to determine if Lohan will face jail time.

Entertainment Weekly reports that a bondsman was in court with Lohan, so it isn’t likely that she’ll see the inside of a jail cell today.

Judge Sautner revoked Lohan’s probation, saying that the actress failed to live up to the terms of her probation which stems from her 2007 arrest for a drunk driving charge.

TMZ reports that Lohan was kicked out of the Women’s Center after she was a no-show 9 times. Sautner was also weary of reports that Lohan had been spotted partying abroad and doubted that Lohan had been meeting with her therapist on a weekly basis.

Lohan will return to court on November 2nd to discuss her new sentence, which according to EW, could involve more community service or up to a year and a half in prison.

Sautner also ruled that the community service that Lohan had put in at the Red Cross would not count toward her sentence. Sautner scolded the probation department saying that it had no authority to decide where Lohan did her service.

Do you think Lindsay Lohan should go to prison for violating her parole?

Yes, yes, yes and YES! What ordinary citizen would get chance after chance to pull themselves together. None of us!

  2. Honestly? She should be be away for life. Same with all drunk drivers.

I think she should instead of being treated like a celebrity they need to treat her like they would any of us if we failed the terms of our probation, teach her ass a lesson…

  4. I agree with Tina. If you can't or won't do the time. THEN, don't do the crime!

What's prison going to do? She needs long term in-patient rehab. Prisons are for people that are a threat to the community. Lohan is an addict that needs help from qualified professionals in a residential setting. IMHO.

  6. ofcourse.. my brother went to jail the first VOP offense he had, and it was a bullshit charge to begin with…. he lost time with his daughter, wife, and newborn son…. I don't agree with these laws and applications of, but how's she any different? she's not…. enjoy baby doll.

  7. Yes she should go to jail… She should not get any special treatment just because she is a celebrity… I agree with Tina… NO ordinary citizen would have been given so many chances.. She clearly thinks that she is above the law… It is time to show her that NO ONE is above the law….

  8. yes she should go to prison everybody else does she is no different.

Amend that to "prisons SHOULD be for people that are a threat to the community". United States has the largest prison population in the WORLD. Obviously imprisonment is NOT the answer for people that are more a danger to themselves with addiction issues.

  10. Leave that little girl alone, this is still a free country.

  11. SHE'S A SPOILD LITTLE RICH – - – - – -!

went to prison for something he didn't even do. I have no sympathy.

Leave her alone? She has broken the law, not done her community service as required. Do you think you would be allowed to continue to have YOUR freedom if you had done the things she has or hasn't?

  14. Yes I do think she go to prison! I agree that she should go for life! Just because she has money should not set her free to maybe kill someone driving drunk. She thinks she is above the law. Send her away for good!

  15. Yes she should, if any of us non-famous people was to do al that she's done they would've thrown us in the cell and thrown away the key.All these famous people basically getting away with murder and can do anything they want and get a slap on the wrist. They really should NOT get special treatment.Ughhhh.

  16. i'll disagree only because the unites states, but especially california, are running out of room in prisons so they are actually releasing some prisoners (im sure minor offenders compared to like murder or something) back into the world. i can honestly say that i'd rather see lohan stay on the streets than her go to jail and a sex offender gets to walk, for example

  17. Tina Unrein Homola this has been in the news for way to long, quit messing with that poor little lady.

  18. She needs to do he time in prison because obviously she isn't taking it seriously and thinks she can get away with breaking the law. Normal people that aren't famous would be doing time for this. She is only getting away with it, while making a joke out of the legal system, because she is famous and rich. I hope the judge realizes what a fool Lindsay is making the court to be.

  19. Jan Reynolds Drunk driving is a major threat to the community.

  20. Jail YES, Prison NO!

It's time for her to be treated like everyone else would be! She's NOT a little girl, she thinks that because she is a celeb and has money that she can do whatever she pleases.. this is unreal how they all get slaps on the wrist and never see a real jail cell.. Drunk driving can be deadly… what if she was driving drunk and killed someone you knew or anyone else.. this has become an unfortunate situation with all celebs who think they are above the law.. time to serve the time she was given more than enough chances that no ordinary citizen would have received!

  22. Yup, she should go.I guess she has not hit bottom yet in order to change her ways. The Red Cross should have been easy time. I have a friend who is unemployed and loves to work as a volunteer there.

I believe if she did the crime she should spend the time…if it was any ordanary person without a lot of money or fame it wouldn't have taken the system this long to throw them in jail…So her or any other celebrity or rich person should be any differnt..

  24. I say send that bi!$h to jail! If you or I was to Behaive this way it would not have gotten this far! She should suffer the same fate as the rest of us!

  25. tired of this old news.
she is old news.has been. no reason to waste the time.

  26. I am sick to death of hearing about this girl getting off easy…The best thing to happen to her just might be imprisonment. It would force her to stop and be alone with herself. There would be no "YES" people around to convolute her thoughts…Just thinking….

  27. "Martha stewart and lil kim both had to go to prison, to prison… Meanwhile michael jackson is freer than a motherfucker, smelling like little boys' booty holes".

  28. It wouldn't be the first time the system didn't make sense. O.J., R. Kelly, Roman Polanski, Ted Kennedy, Matthew Broderick ect.

  29. Don't they have something called "court ordered rehab", where the person is arrested, goes to court and the judge lets the person know they have the choice to go to either rehab or go to jail? What person in their right mind would CHOOSE to go to jail if they had the choice to go to rehab?

  30. poor thing, she is sick and her money is making it worse. It's a little harsh to say jail for life! but she needs some serious detox time and if she leaves her house a guard to keep her on the straight and narrow until she gets herself straitened out ( years) one that she is paying for out of her own money. she is a bloody mess and needs counseling for a very long time.

  31. Who cares!

  32. Tommy Hagen Good point Tommy, although I am sick of these rich stars getting a slap on the wrist while you or I would sent to sent to jail with no chances like she has received.

  33. Why do they keep letting her do this, anyone of us would be back in jail serving our sentence, she is not that special, needs to grow up!

I knew somebody would bring that issue up, and yes, I agree. Why, after her first DUI, does she still have the option of driving? As far as I know she has not been driving…just still using in US and abroad and being non-compliant with appointments. If someone tells me she was picked up a second time for DUI then she is definitely a danger to her self and others. I do not believe it is so in her case. I am just speaking my opinion in her individual case. Whatever happens to her hopefully it helps.

  35. She was in rehab more than once. She was at BETTY FORD and got into trouble there!!! You do what she has done year after year and see where you would be. PRISON!!!

  36. Then if she is not doing was she is required to do then the responsibility also lies with these rehab centers and community service people. THEY knew she was showing up there the whole time. BUT they wanted to cover their asses and write something in their reports to show to the Courts. Thank god for judges like the one today who called THEM ALL OUT! Makes you wonder what kinds of FAVORS Lindsay was DOING for THESE people.

  37. Jan Reynolds Honestly, because of her celebrity status, I am more concerned about how her actions will influence stupid teenagers than whether or not she gets better. As for DUIs: driving drunk is extremely dangerous, and is a serious epidemic in many states. The problem is that most people don't think it is a big deal. Treat it as a felony, and more people will take it seriously.

  38. Yes! No more chances….If it was me I sure would be in jail..the only thing that keeps her a celeb is the fact that she can't stay out of trouble….. To much time and to much publicity has been wasted on her.

  39. Okay,…Jan?—If you really want to dicect it in a "PERFECT"world, we would go to the beginning and start at her roots, her parents. But since we don't have the time, patience, or even Linsay herself to SUIT UP and SHOW UP! Imprisonment is the only realistic shock wave to get through to her…this is life and death we are talking about my friend. She has had a golden invitation to what you suggest. Sorry.

  40. excuse me, dissect.

  41. Those who say she shouldn't go to jail with REAL murders, Lindsey is lucky she hasn't killed anyone YET. That's wrong with the system. No one steps in UNLESS an INNOCENT person dies of SOMEONE elses stupidity. Or, Lindsey herself doesn't die of an overdose.Let's hope it doesn't come to that.

  42. you know what…stop giving celebrities breaks! their human too, treat them the same! if she serves less them 90 days I will be pi**ed.

  43. I thought she had to do her community service in a morgue. Maybe the judge wants to show her where she is headed with the life choices she is making.

  44. yeah I just think its dumb how celebrities can do the same crime a regular person would get years for and only get months. It just goes to show that money can buy happiness

  45. once again she was late/no show for community service. Big surprise. She will never learn until she grows up. Jail time is right for her. However it looks like she will never serve a full jail sentence. She gets off just like her friend Paris does.

  46. but really !!!! ls SHE happy???

  47. Marie Walker Lorentzen probably not. Thats a good reason to stop acting like a spoiled little brat and grow up. what does she have to be so worried about anyway? she has everything she ever wanted…plus some! really what they need to do is make her live a day in the life of a regualr middle/low class person. then she can cry about the way her life is and she can rebel cuz she would have a life worth rebelling against. until then she needs to suck it up and start acting right!!

  48. drug abuse is an ugly sickness. She needs a keeper!
