Kate Middleton’s Baby Twin Names Revealed

Kate Middleton’s pregnancy was confirmed several weeks ago, but since the news was announced, it has been speculated that she is actually carrying twins. It has even been reported that the royal couple will name their potential children Margaret and Elizabeth.

Prince William and Kate are believed to have picked out two names for baby girls, which suggests that they have already had it confirmed that they’re expecting two infants, and that they’ll both be female. According to insiders, the duo have picked the name of Margaret as an homage to the Queen’s late sister, and William’s great-auntie, while they’ll call their other twin Elizabeth after the Queen herself.

Princess Margaret was the only sibling of Queen Elizabeth II, and the second child of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. She was quite a controversial figure. In 1953, she became engaged to the recently divorced Group Captain Peter Townsend, which was deemed taboo in that era, and the Church Of England even refused to countenance her marriage to him. She ultimately decided not to marry Townsend, and in 1960 she accepted the proposal of photographer, Anthony Armstrong-Jones. They later divorced in 1978, and she never re-married. Margaret died in 2002 at the age of 71.

On September 8, Buckingham Palace confirmed that Middleton was expecting her second children, and that she had a burgeoning baby bump. However, rumors have since started to circulate that her belly might actually be the home to not just one, but perhaps two or three children.

Kate has been spotted several times since she announced her pregnancy, with Celeb Dirty Laundry reporting that it’s surprisingly big for someone who is only ten weeks pregnant.

According to the publication, “Prince Williams and Kate stepped out for a casual dinner together on Thursday September 11th at King’s Head Pub in Great Bircham, and you could already see Kate’s tiny baby bump. Generally you can’t tell someone is even expecting when they are 8-10 weeks pregnant, unless they are expecting twins.”

Earlier this week, Middleton was offered a helping hand from the most unlikeliest of sources, after Britney Spears declared that she wanted the Duchess to wear her new lingerie range. I’m guessing she means after her pregnancy though.

“I would love to see Kate in my underwear designs,” the singer declared. “That would be splendid. I’m going to send her one of every piece. So she’ll have plenty to choose from.”
