Burger King Offers Burgers For Breakfast Now

Who needs a hash brown for breakfast? Apparently Burger King doesn’t, as the fast food chain announced that they’re getting things started earlier by serving burgers for breakfast.

Yes, that’s right, a flame-broiled burger is the people’s choice for breakfast, at least that’s what Burger King thinks. It makes sense for the chain as they are known for their burgers and not their breakfast foods.

The first Burger King to do this is located in Miami. It’s reported that the Miami location will roll out a “burgers for breakfast menu” that will provide customers with some of the items that are available on the dinner menu for breakfast.

The burgers for breakfast strategy won’t just be implemented in the Miami location. This will be rolled out to 5,000 restaurants. So far the items expected to be available are Whoppers, Cheeseburgers, Big King sandwiches, its Original Chicken Sandwich, french fries, and for dessert apple pie.

In an official statement Burger King said of their decision:

“Selling Burgers at Breakfast at Burger King restaurants allows our guests to start their day being their way—either with the great flame broiled taste of our signature burgers and sandwiches or with our delicious suite of breakfast offerings.”

Recently Burger King has been promoting a King Deals Breakfast Value Menu. The selections include French Toast Sticks, Sausage & Cheese Muffin Sandwich and Sausage Breakfast Burrito at a cheaper price. All of these items start at $1.

Burger King isn’t the only fast food chain that’s striving to shake things up for breakfast. In 2013 it was reported that McDonald’s tried to established a “McDonald’s After Midnight” menu for those who wanted to purchase breakfast past the regular hours of 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

The change ups with the chain restaurants points to the drop in customers. Back in 2013 the NPD data reported that customers cut back on restaurants for lunch and dinner, meanwhile breakfast hours proved to be more popular for the fourth year in a row.

As far as Burger King’s shake up is concerned it looks like a great move. People are already reacting positively to the news:
