Donald Trump has announced that Attorney General Pam Bondi will be pivoting to another role and that Todd Blanche will be stepping up as Interim AG. As the news made its way to social media, 2024 photos of CNN’s White House Correspondent Kaitlan Collins, in a close, head-to-head conversation with Blanche in a restaurant in Palm Beach, resurfaced on the Internet.

Now, with the photo of Kaitlan Collins with Todd Blanche once again doing the rounds, it surely won’t be long until the President sees the viral post. It was shared on X on Wednesday, with the caption, “New Attorney General Blanche lunching with CNN’s Kaitlan Collins in Palm Beach. It’s a big club and you ain’t in it.”

When the image was first revealed last year, an insider told OK, “He’s been caught red-handed being a source to one of CNN’s biggest stars,” adding, “You don’t look deep in conversation if you’re just catching up and talking about the weather.”

“Todd is an informant on Trump World for Kaitlin — but they’ve been done over by an eagle-eyed onlooker! Next time Kaitlin gets a scoop on the inner workings of the President-elect’s transition, you’d have to finger Todd as the likely culprit,” the source added.

Meanwhile, making the announcement of Pam Bondi’s firing in a post, Donald Trump was full of praise for her, saying she did a “tremendous job” while overseeing a crackdown on crime. He added that she was a “loyal friend” and a “patriot.”

Bondi’s firing came as no surprise, given Trump’s frustration with her work at the Department of Justice, particularly regarding the Epstein Files, which are a reputational liability for the Trump administration. Pam Bondi was recently compelled to testify about the Justice Department’s investigation into Jeffrey Epstein by the House of Representatives, which became explosive.

Kaitlan Collins posted on X (formerly Twitter) about Bondi leaving, and noted that the former AG will still be on the job for the next month before Blanche fully takes over as Interim AG.

Pam Bondi, without sharing much details on her new role, wrote, “Over the next month I will be working tirelessly to transition the office of Attorney General to the amazing Todd Blanche before moving to an important private sector role I am thrilled about, and where I will continue fighting for President Trump and this Administration.”

Bondi added, “Leading President Trump’s historic and highly successful efforts to make America safer and more secure has been the honor of a lifetime, and easily the most consequential first year of the Department of Justice in American history.”

She went on to boast, “Since February 2025, we have secured the lowest murder rate in 125 years, secured first-ever terrorism convictions against members of Antifa, shattered domestic and transnational gangs across the country, taken custody of more than 90 key cartel figures, and won 24 favorable rulings at the Supreme Court. I remain eternally grateful for the trust that President Trump placed in me to Make America Safe Again.”

So far, it is unclear what her “important private sector role” will be, but some say it could be compared to the firing of former Department of Homeland Security chief Kristi Noem. When she was fired, she was given the post of Special Envoy for the Shield of the Americas.
