Ready to take a trip back to Hyrule in Nintendo’s iconic title The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time yet again ? Nintendo has announced that the universally acclaimed game is making its way to the Wii U by way of the virtual console.
Before you start jumping for joy at the prospect of playing The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D , the 3DS remake for Nintendo’s flagship handheld, you may want to sit down: this port of the title will be more faithful to the original than the most recent release.
With or without the graphical upgrade, critics still consider Ocarina of Time to be one of the best entries in the series. If you’re an adamant fan, you may not be alone in thinking it’s the best of them all. We can all agree that it’s at least better than Majora’s Mask , right?
In case you’ve never heard of The Legend of Zela: Ocarina of Time – and we’ll try not to pass judgment if you fit that bill – here’s the story directly from Nintendo’s press site . Story does indeed play an integral part in the game, but that’s certainly not all there is to it. A myriad of collectibles can be found throughout the world; some increase your health, and some even bestow you entirely new abilities to give you an edge in your fight against Ganondorf.
If you never have given the game the time of day, the asking price of $10 on the Virtual Console is a small price to play for one of the best-received video games throughout the history of the medium.
