Six Arrested, Including One For A ‘Urination Altercation,’ During Bengals, Steelers AFC Wild Card Game

Six men were arrested, including one Bengals fan for a “urination altercation,” during Saturday’s intense AFC wild card game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Pittsburg Steelers.

According to Cincinnati Enquirer , Martin Cooke, 33, of Germantown, Kentucky, was arrested after he allegedly urinated on the person in front of him in Paul Brown Stadium.

And yes, “urination altercation” is a real thing, according to the police report.

Court documents reveal that Cooke, who wore a Bengals hoodie, is accused of fighting with the man and punching him in the face before deciding to allegedly urinate on the victim. Cooke is also facing disorderly conduct and assault charges and is scheduled to appear in court Monday.

The alleged “urination altercation” wasn’t the only altercation that took place during the game between the rival teams. Other instances of rowdy behavior was reported and several arrests were made during the game that seemed to be marred by questionable calls and personal fouls.

According to CBS Sports , as Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was headed to the locker room on a cart late in the third quarter, angry fans began throwing bottles at the injured player.

According to WCPO in Cincinnati, five other men — two Bengals fans and three Steelers fans — were arrested following the game, as well.

Jared McCarty, 19, David Grillo, 25, Tyler Matthys, 21, Phillip Ross, 29, and Andrew Robles, 28, were all accused and arrested for assaults during and following Saturday’s game on charges ranging from carrying a fake ID to head-butting a man in the face.

Matthys of Westville, Indiana, wore a Steelers jersey when police arrested him and accused him of punching a woman in the face. His court date has yet to be scheduled.

Grillo of Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania, was wearing a black jersey as he walked up an aisle in the stadium and threw a beer at a fan during the game, causing lacerations to the vicim’s face.

Ross of Cheviot, Ohio, man was arrested for assault after allegedly head-butting a man in the face.

Robles of Allentown, Pennsylvania, was being ejected from the game for an unknown reason when, police said, he escaped officers and punched a woman in the face. Robles, who wore a Steelers jersey, is accused of assault and is scheduled to appear in court Monday.

Yep, sounds about right for for a Bengals vs. Steelers game.

Oh, and the Bengals lost the game 18-16, dashing their hopes for a Super Bowl bid.

In the closing minutes of the game, the Bengals completely lost their poise — according to ESPN — and the game.

With 1:36 remaining in the game, it looked as if the Bengals had a chance to finally win a playoff game for the first time since January, 1991. However, a last minute unnecessary roughness call against Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict led Bengals cornerback Adam Jones to lose his cool and get in the face of Steelers assistant coach Joey Porter, resulting in an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty and an on-field scrum between the teams.

The penalties put the Steelers in position to score and a 35-yard field goal by kicker Chris Boswell ended the game.
