Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber’s relationship drama has been ongoing since they began dating years ago, and still, despite having split years ago, they continue to be one of the most talked about couples in music.
Currently, Selena Gomez and Bieber don’t appear to be dating, but they were recently in touch, and according to a new report, Bieber could play a part in the upcoming Selena Gomez series on Lifetime.

As The Source reported on April 25, Selena Gomez is teaming up with producers including Kevin Spacey to create a new television show for Lifetime based on her life growing up in the entertainment industry. According to the report, the series will be similar to HBO’s Entourage , which was loosely based on the life of actor Mark Wahlberg.
As for whether or not Selena Gomez’s love life will be featured, Celebrity Dirty Laundry said a mention was likely on April 23. As the outlet pointed out, Bieber has been a big part of Selena Gomez’s life in recent years, so to leave him out of the show completely would be a bit odd.
According to a second report, Selena Gomez’s past relationship is expected to be addressed, but it will not be the basis of the series.
“[Selena Gomez]’s Lifetime special will include a love interest, but he won’t be the focal point. Justin Bieber has been a huge part of Selena’s life, and can’t be ignored. However, this is really about Selena, not the roller coaster relationship she experienced with Justin,” an insider told Hollywood Life last week. “Everything is still in the early stages.”

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber began dating in 2010 and broke up in late 2012. However, there have been many sightings since their breakup, starting with a couple of outings in 2013, including a visit to Norway. Although things appeared to cool off between the on-and-off couple as the year continued, mid-2014 saw yet another series of reunions, including a visit to a dance studio where the two filmed a sexy dance for fans.
As Selena Gomez and Bieber continued to become more and more successful in their careers, their relationship took a backseat and throughout 2015, Bieber was linked to a number of women including Kourtney Kardashian and Hailey Baldwin.
By 2016, Selena Gomez and Bieber appeared to be done for good when, like clockwork, Selena Gomez turned up at one of Bieber’s Los Angeles shows after her ex-boyfriend issued a shoutout to her days prior. Bieber also liked one of her bikini photos around the same time. Since then, rumors have been swirling regarding the couple’s possible reconciliation, the latest of which claims they are currently in touch with one another after Bieber iced Selena Gomez out during an appearance at the iHeartRadio Music Awards.
“Justin and [Selena Gomez] are talking over text but it is a little strained between the two right now,” a source told Hollywood Life earlier this month. “But as much as it isn’t getting romantic right now, things change every second with these two that by the weekend if Justin is lonely, he will probably start putting on the charm to get her interested again.”
“Just another day between these two, they can’t stand each other and they can’t stand being without each other,” the source added.
