The jackpot stands at $40 million, and while it’s not the biggest jackpot in the history of the popular lottery game, it’s enough to make life just a bit more comfortable.

UPDATE: The winning Powerball numbers for June 24 are: 3-5-10-22-32 PB 7

According to Florida Today the jackpot went down to the minimum $40 million after one lucky ticket holder in Plantation, Florida , matched all six numbers (9-10-16-20-57 PB 15) in the June 20 drawing. The winner of the $80 million jackpot has yet to come forward to claim the prize.

Florida seems to be a lucky place to play Powerball — the most recent win on June 20 was the 10th time since October 2009 that a ticket purchased in Florida won the jackpot.

If you don’t win the grand prize in tonight’s drawing, there’s always a chance that you could win a non-jackpot prize. More than 420,000 ticket holders won a non-jackpot prize in the last drawing, including a $1 million winner from Texas who matched all five numbers, but did not match the Powerball.

Check the numbers on the tickets you purchased in the month of June — you may have a little extra cash coming your way. Prizes range from $4 (just the Powerball) to $1 million (all five white balls, no Powerball.).
