When it comes to his daughter North West , Kanye West has it all figured out. North isn’t even school age yet, but West knows exactly what he and wife Kim Kardashian plan to do for North. According to West, they plan to homeschool North.
West reveals these plans on Big Sean’s new track “Blessings,” which features Drake and Kanye. On the track, West spits about North West and his plans for the future.
“Just did a couple laps in my home pool/And my daughter over there getting homeschooled/I’m blessed.”
As for what Kim thinks of her little one, she told People magazine that she’s very smart .
“She is halfway potty trained, which is insane for her age. Last night she looked up at the sky and pointed and said, ‘Moon, Mom! Moon!’ I couldn’t believe she knew that… And she can throw, she took Kanye’s phone and put it in the toilet and flushed it.”
It sounds like the two are really enjoying parenthood. It’s obvious that fatherhood suits West and has calmed him down from the erratic rants and anger he used to express publicly. Earlier in the week, he was on Ellen DeGeneres and opened up on why he changed. As expected, daughter North West and wife Kim have a lot to do with his quieter life.
The rapper told Ellen, “I’ve definitely learned how to compromise more. Which is something you have to understand when you partner with people in business, and I’ve learned how to shut up more. Yeah, I think I’m a better human being because of her, and because of my daughter.”
West attended the show to debut his new video “Only One,” featuring Paul McCartney. In the minimalist video, West serenades North West in the rain, and shows a softer side that seems to reflect his guest appearance on DeGeneres’ show.
West continued to open up about his past altercations in the media ahead of his video debut.
“I always have someone to think about going home to. And, you know, something for me to be brave for what I want do so for humanity, but also to be more protective of myself for my family too. Cause there are things I’ve done in the past that were considered negative, but I was really jumping in front of the tank for other people or for culture in a way, so now I always have to have that in my mind.”
