In an interview with popular radio show The Breakfast Club last week, Nick Cannon brutally called out Planned Parenthood. Apparently, the America’s Got Talent host and former husband of Mariah Carey isn’t a fan of the public health organization, and Cannon minced no words when sharing his thoughts and feelings.

According to Nick Cannon , Planned Parenthood is engaging in both “modern day eugenics” and “population control,” reports Fox News. Planned Parenthood, which offers an array of public health services related to reproduction and sexual health, often finds itself being used as cannon fodder, but this is the first time it’s been blasted by Nick Cannon.
The star has spoken out publicly about abortion in the past, reports the New York Daily News . In fact, Nick Cannon wrote an entire song about the subject, titled “Can I Live?” Released in 2003, the song details Cannon’s own mother’s personal pregnancy-related decision, revealing that she considered abortion when pregnant with Nick.
Despite the nature of the 2003 song, at the time of its release, Nick Cannon insisted that he is not pro-life. Nor is he pro-choice, at least according to a USA Today interview about the song. In fact, at the time, Nick Cannon declined to malign Planned Parenthood or other abortion providers, claiming not to want to politicize his abortion views.
“I’m just thanking my mom for being strong. I’m just happy to be here.”
This time around, Nick Cannon appears to be showing no such restraint. In addition to taking on Planned Parenthood, Cannon used his radio appearance with The Breakfast Club to attack the 2016 presidential candidates. While he likened each candidate with a gun waiting to shoot voters, he blasted Clinton in particular.
“Hillary was [sneaking]… Think about all the stuff they did with Planned Parenthood and all that type of stuff. That type of stuff is to take our community and forget gentrification, it’s real genocide, and it’s been like that for years. This system is not built for us. This is not our land. I appreciate it. I love it, wouldn’t want to live nowhere else, but this wasn’t designed for our people.”
Cannon didn’t elaborate as to what Planned Parenthood is engaged in that constitutes, in his opinion, eugenics; the organization provides services equally to all who need them.
After making waves with his Planned Parenthood comments during the radio interview, the Huffington Post reports that the star reaffirmed his stance in an impromptu Q & A session with a Splash News rep at LAX on Friday.

Again, Cannon didn’t really elaborate on what he believes Planned Parenthood is doing that falls into the category of eugenics. It’s also worth noting that the organization was created as a “birth control clinic” in 1916 and didn’t start performing abortions until 1974 at is Des Moines center. By then, Roe v. Wade was the law of the land and abortion was legal.
Many Planned Parenthood centers still don’t offer abortion services, although each one has continued the organization’s 100-year effort to educate men and women alike, as well as to provide family planning and sexual health services. In that same time period, global population has increased exponentially. As Ecology reports, the global population in 1910 was estimated at 1.75 billion people. In 2010, that number had skyrocketed to 6.87 billion.
Nevertheless, Nick Cannon continued his anti-Planned Parenthood tirade on social media over the weekend, even foraying into the “conspiracy theorist” realm on Instagram.
Cannon’s Twitter feed also lit up after his controversial Planned Parenthood comments.

Nick Cannon is the father of 5-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan with legendary diva Mariah Carey and is expecting a third child with current GF Brittany Bell.
Neither Nick Cannon nor Planned Parenthood has responded to media requests for direct comment about current drama.
