The couple ran a home improvement construction business. Their business associate who killed them was 61-year-old Anthony Louis Reyes. He was also their friend, but the friendship turned sour over money and business matters. The police were able to identify the suspect’s car license plate with an automatic reader.

According to Fox 5, the suspect is in custody. The 911 call helped identify the suspect and make a quick arrest. The exact motive of the murders isn’t clear, but the matter was personal as well as business-related. The police and the suspect were in a chase.

While arresting the suspect, an officer also suffered an injury but will make a full recovery. The authorities communicated to the Long Point community residents that they can rest easy now that the suspect is in jail without bond.

So far, the suspect is charged with first- and second-degree murder. The police also revealed the couple’s murder is a targeted attack and not a random crime. More investigation is ongoing to find the exact motive behind the murder.
