Married At First Sight Season 4 stars Nick Pendergrast, Sonia Granados, Tom Wilson, Lillian Vilchez, Derek Schwartz, and Heather Seidel all got together over the weekend to feed the homeless in downtown Miami. The MAFS stars thanked their fans on social media for their support on MAFS Gives Back.
Last Saturday the stars of Married At First Sight Season 4 came together for a good cause. Nick, Sonia, Tom, Lillian, Derek, and Heather organized an event called MAFS Gives Back, where they, together with several volunteers, fed the homeless in downtown Miami. The reality stars were pleasantly surprised with the amount of support they received from fans.
In an episode of Married At First Sight Season 4 , Nick and Sonia also went to downtown Miami to hand out PB&J sandwiches to the homeless. Seeing how Sonia genuinely loves helping people, even taking the time to write inspirational messages on the sandwich bags they’re giving out, made Nick appreciate his wife even more.
“She is exactly the girl that I want to be married to,” he told the cameras.
Married At First Sight Season 4 fans were surprised to see Derek Schwartz and Heather Seidel in one place. After the couple got divorced just two weeks into the social experiment, the two made it clear that they had no plans of seeing each other ever again. Although Derek wanted to give their marriage another chance, Heather stood by her decision that Derek is not someone she sees herself spending the rest of her life with. Even after he apologized several times, Heather still cannot shake the feeling that Derek wasn’t the one for her.
“The way that he fights, the name calling. Those are the things that I have an issue with.I try to remain calm. I tried to get up and be positive. I’d like to think that I’ve grown to a point in my life. I’m 32 years old, I’m not dealing with this type of s**t anymore.”
But at the end of the Married At First Sight Season 4 experiment, Derek and Heather both have nothing to say but kind words to each other.
“At the end of the day, Heather’s going to be my first wife. I’ll always have a special part in my heart for Heather and for this experience together. I think that will always be a connection that we share forever,” Derek said.
Even though their marriage did not work out, the two did not have any regrets agreeing to do the social experiment. During the Married At First Sight Season 4 finale, Derek and Heather revealed that they aren’t seeing anyone at the moment. Will there be a chance for reconciliation between Derek and Heather?
During Nick and Sonia’s worst weeks on Married At First Sight , fans noticed that Sonia and Derek had been exchanging sweet messages on social media. Many thought that it was a hint that the marriage did not work out and Derek and Sonia actually started dating. The rumors, however, turned out to be false.
During the MAFS finale, Nick and Sonia revealed that they are still together six months after the social experiment ended. Even though there were challenges in the relationship, the two vowed to give it everything they got to make their marriage work. Nick and Sonia also shared that they can definitely see themselves falling in love with each other.
“I’m super excited about the future. I’m hoping that I continue to move past all the tribulations and trials that we’ve had. We’re building from the ground up and I can see myself falling in love with her,” Nick said.
