There have been a series of acid attacks, at least four, that took place in London in a short span of time. According to the Daily Mail , authorities are looking into four acid attacks across London that took place in a 90-minute period of time on Thursday evening. Victims had acid thrown in their faces by two men on a moped in Stoke Newington and Hackney. At least one of the victims of the acid attack endured injuries that were “life-changing.”
The acid attacks in London on Thursday came on the heels of a similar occurrence in London, when 21-year-old Resham Khan and her cousin, Jameel Mukhtar, were attacked with acid. Khan and Mukhtar were sitting in a car at a traffic light in Newham, in east London, when the pair were allegedly attacked by a man who tossed acid through both windows.
The latest acid attacks in London from Thursday evening are being investigated by Scotland Yard.
According to the Daily Star , one of the victims was a 32-year-old man who had facial injuries as a result of the acid attack in London. He was on a moped when a different moped with two men pulled up beside him at approximately 10:25 p.m. British Summer Time and tossed acid into his face. One of the acid attackers then stole the victim’s moped. The acid attack victim was transported to a hospital in east London.

As reported by the BBC , the acid attackers being sought by the Metropolitan Police are the men on the mopeds. After that incident, at 11:05 p.m., acid was thrown in the face of a victim on Shoreditch High Street, E8. The acid attackers were described as two men on mopeds. The injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Then, at 11:18 p.m., reports of a theft at Cazenove Road, E5, Stoke Newington, resulted in another acid attack. The fourth acid attack happened at around 11:37 p.m. in Chatsworth Road, Clapton. While the details of the acid attacks are still being released, authorities are treating all four attacks as related.
