Former Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem is reportedly “devastated” because of the cross-dressing allegations against her husband, Bryon Noem. Additional rumors about the allegations have circulated online, though many remain unverified.
According to reports by The Daily Mail, a spokesperson for Noem relayed her thoughts about recent allegations. Speaking exclusively to the publication, the representative said, “Mrs. Noem is devastated…”
The individual claimed neither she nor the rest of their family expected the news about his alleged cross-dressing. The representative added, “The family is blindsided by this. They ask for privacy and prayers at this time.”

The response from Noem’s spokesperson comes as a result of the previously mentioned allegations against her husband. The publication had obtained PayPal payments, text messages, and photographs of Noem’s husband.
These records revealed many compromising text messages and photographs. These messages were reportedly between him and three women who opted for specific cosmetic enhancements. According to the publication, he would often mimic them with balloons and pink figure-hugging shorts and text them with pictures of him in that alleged avatar.
National Security experts who were consulted by the Daily Mail claimed that if this bombshell of a news had been released while his wife still held her position. Her reputation would’ve had a negative outcome.
One such expert was former CIA officer Marc Polymeropoulos, who suggested, “If a media organization can find this out, you can assume with a high degree of confidence that a hostile intelligence service knows as well.”

The former CIA official further added that information such as this against Noem’s husband could be a “tantalizing lead” for those reportedly wanting to blackmail and exploit her. Noem might not be the Secretary of Homeland Security anymore. But she still holds influence in the Trump administration.
About the previously mentioned rumors, many netizens and critics of Noem wondered what she meant when she mentioned her reportedly unconventional marriage. According to The Daily Beast, back in 2025, Ryan James Girdusky brought up affair rumors that many speculate to be about Noem and her husband.
The political commentator had accused Noem of revealing whether or not her husband was part of the LGBTQIA community. On his podcast, It’s a Numbers Game, he brought up an affair involving “well-known Cabinet members.” Who, at the time, included Noem and Corey Lewandowski.

Do note, both are married, with children, and have strongly denied rumors and allegations of an affair between them. That aside, the political commentator brought up an interaction between Noem and a reporter.
According to Girdusky, the reporter was asking her the reason behind not divorcing her husband. And also allegedly grilled her about whether or not she was having an affair. To which Noem has allegedly claimed her husband was part of the LGBTQIA+ community and did not defend it.
She has also allegedly mentioned that they were still together for their children and asked for privacy. But she apparently did tell the reporters that if it were to ever become a story, she would talk about it.

Well, now that it has become an alleged story, will Noem further comment on information about her husband, or will she continue to maintain silence after her spokesperson’s comments? Well, President Donald Trump did break his silence on the matter.
In another interview with The Daily Mail, Trump’s comments triggered further speculations when he asked whether or not “they confirmed it.” Later on, he claimed that he knew nothing about the allegations and empathized with Noem and her family during this time.
