Goodbye, Kendall Jenner. Hello… Kendall.
In the grand tradition of such mononymous celebrities as Bjork, Madonna, Bono, and Divine, the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star has decided to simplify her moniker. When you’re a superstar, two names is just so low-class. After all, what better way to separate yourself from the simpletons than by shedding your surname?
According to Racked , Kendall Jenner is no longer Kendall Jenner. She’s simply Kendall. When you do a search through the list of models available on The Society Management website, you’ll discover that the reality TV vet has kicked Jenner to the curb.

Why did Kendall decide to change her name? We’re willing to bet it had something to do with distancing herself from the Jenner name. Since it’s probably hard to feel any sort of pride when you’re known for something as tawdry as Keeping Up with the Kardashians , any sort of disassociation is definitely a positive. From our perspective, anyway.
During her chat with Love back in July, Jenner essentially confirmed our theory . We promise we didn’t read the article ahead of time. Pinky swear.
Here’s what Kendall had to say about ditching her last name.
“I want to be high fashion. I want to be taken seriously … People think that this [success] just came to me. But it didn’t. What I have has almost worked against me. I had to work even harder to get where I wanted because people didn’t take me seriously as a model. Because of the TV show. I went on castings and some people weren’t feeling me because of my name. But it was great when people didn’t recognize me. I was like, ‘Thank you. Please don’t recognize me.’”
Unfortunately, Kendall will need to do more than simply bury Jenner in the back yard if she separate herself from the past. After all, the budding model keeps making headlines for all the wrong reasons. If she’s not the center of a story about knife fighting with her sister, she’s getting in trouble for dancing while behind the wheel of a large automobile . Newsflash: We still know it’s you, Kendall. Nice try, though.
