While Vietnamese hairdresser Nguyen Hoang Hung might not be trained as a samurai, he sure can wield the sword quite craftily. Hung works with a katana sword to cut hair in his salon with a surgeon’s precision — leaving beautifully constructed haircuts on his victims’… er… clients’ heads.
Katana swords aren’t the only weapons that Nguyen uses for good. A few years ago, he competed in a competition where he had to use a handsaw to deliver a great women’s cut, though he didn’t learn the technique overnight. According to Distractify , he was able to hone his practice using wigs before moving on to human heads. He now does as short as pixies cuts using only a Wakizashi — a razor-sharp samurai sword typically used for fighting in close quarters.
