Yesterday we talked about Jessa Duggar and her new “boyfriend” Ben Seewald. Our readers chimed in on the fact that Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar will only allow their 20-year-old daughter to “side-hug” her boyfriend. Now we have more details to share about the Jessa and her 18-year-old boyfriend.
Talking to PEOPLE Jessa’s parents revealed: “They are enjoying getting to know each other and are recommending sermons to one another.”
The 19 Kids & Counting stars explain that Ben is the first guy friend that has shown interest in the family’s spiritual focus and ministry work.
Ben at 18-years-old is also a business owner. He operates the Affordable Windshield Repair shop in Hot Springs, Arkansas and he worked at the Diamante Country Club.
Jim Bob adds:
“When a guy is pursuing your daughter, you want to check him out and see if there are any red flags. With Ben, there hasn’t been. He is very sharp. It appears like a match made in heaven.”
The Duggars believe that you shouldn’t even kiss until marriage and Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald agreed to that arrangement.
The new couple do hug for up to 30 seconds at a time but that is the limit of their physical contact.
Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar also have access to their daughters text messages and routinely monitor her conversations with Ben.
