Actress Jennifer Lawrence, who celebrated her 25th birthday this week, was reportedly thrilled when friends and family were able to surprise Lawrence with a birthday party visit from Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner, according to a recent People Magazine article.
Lawrence, who is a self-admitted reality television junkie, has often discussed her obsession with Jenner’s Keeping Up with the Kardashians . In fact, Kim Kardashian once told the story to the Sun of passing Lawrence in a hotel and simply saying “hi” to one another, but as Kim got in the elevator and the doors closed, Jennifer reportedly blurted out, “I love your show!”
When friends surprised Jennifer with a visit from Kris, it seems they may have found the perfect gift for Lawrence who, despite being the highest-paid actress in the world right now, still has a tendency to be starstruck when meeting other famous people, especially those of whom she is a fan. Past hilarious encounters involving Jennifer Lawrence being rendered a geeked out fangirl include an after Oscar interview in which Jack Nicholson complimented the actress and her descriptions of run-ins with Jennifer Lopez and Jeff Bridges.
According to guests, Kris gave a heartfelt birthday speech celebrating Jennifer and even invited Lawrence to be Jenner’s guest at the FYF Fest this weekend, which features Kris’ son-in-law Kanye West as the headlining act.
The hang-out was probably a much-needed boost for Jennifer Lawrence, who reportedly ended things with on-again-off-again boyfriend Chris Martin. It’s unknown if Chris Martin is a reality show fan, but Lawrence admitted to Vanity Fair earlier this year that her ideal guy would be someone who “has the same taste in reality TV… Basically, what I’m saying is all I need in a relationship is somebody to watch TV with me.”
Lawrence has often described herself as a homebody who prefers staying in, watching television, and eating her favorite junk food, a contrast to Kris Jenner and her daughters, who are more well known for their live-out-loud lifestyles. Despite their differences, Jenner and Lawrence obviously hit is off well enough to joke around as evidenced by the hilarious Instagram photo uploaded by Jenner and taken by Kris’ current boyfriend Corey Gamble that portrays Jennifer and Kris in bed together in a jokingly scandalous pose.
And who knows, since Kris Jenner was able to move on from her relationship with ex-husband Bruce, now Caitlyn Jenner, perhaps Jennifer will see that she can move on from Martin for good and find that reality-television-watching man of her dreams just yet.
