Recently, Vance appeared in an interview with political commentator Benny Johnson. The two of them were involved in a conversation about western civilization and even discussed “aliens.” However, that’s not the only thing viewers of the podcast were curious about.
Many alleged that Vance was taking the popular weight-loss drug, Ozempic. This was because he reportedly appeared slimmer than usual. Netizens flooded the social media platform X with curiosity and remarks about Vance’s alleged weight loss.

Taking note of the recent interview with Johnson, an individual wondered, “Is JD Vance on Ozempic now? Did y’all bully him into medical weight loss?” Another said, “When I saw him, it just looked like he was on Ozempic…”
Another internet pundit expressed their alarm over Vance’s alleged physical difference and stated, “So, when is anyone going to mention how much weight JD has lost?” The same user explained that there was no intention to insult the Vice President.
He further mentioned, “It’s clear that he’s lost significant weight.” Like many, this user concluded by asking, “Is he on ozempic or something?” A concerned netizen exclaimed, “You won’t BELIEVE how SKINNY he’s looking lately—What’s REALLY going on behind the scenes?”
A user wondered if Vance being on the weight loss drug was the reason he’s reportedly been away from the public eye recently. The user asked, “Is this why we haven’t seen him much lately?”

Vance denied using drugs like Ozempic in a 2024 interview with the Daily Mail. Vance claimed that at the time he was “fatter” than he should be and was instead using portion control.
The reason many have expressed concern over the weight loss is because they speculate it has something to do with controversial internet ‘Clavicular’s’ remarks about him. Braden Eric Peters, or ‘Clavicular,’ made critical comments about Vance and his weight.
The “looksmaxxing” influencer had previously called the Vice President “obese” and questioned how he could lead the country while being obese. The influencer’s comments triggered a wave of scrutiny from Vance’s supporters and his critics.

Many accused him of fat-shaming the vice president and expressed their disagreement with his statements on social media. With that context, netizens on X connected Clavicular’s remarks about Vance as a reason for his alleged weight loss.
Conspiracy theorists argue that Vance took the YouTuber’s remarks seriously, and that’s why he was possibly on Ozempic. However, as mentioned earlier, there are no official reports of Vance being on the drug. Neither he nor his representatives have commented on the alleged weight loss yet.
Vance is expecting his fourth child with his wife, Usha Vance. Their bundle of joy is expected to arrive later this year in July 2026. It is unclear whether his reported weight loss is related to being a father of four. Vance has yet to comment on that.
